Ground-effect aerodynamics look set to return to Formula 1 when the championship's next major overhaul comes into effect, after rulemakers revealed the first details about the 2021 generation of cars

Jonathan Noble was among a handful of journalists to get an early look at F1's vision, and joins Jake Boxall-Legge to explain what the parties involved in shaping the rules have presented, plus the next steps in the process.

Based on the new information, our technical illustrator Giorgio Piola has also produced his interpretation of what cars could look like, detailing many of the key changes that are expected.
