McLaren's double points score now looks unlikely with Alonso out and Button down to 11th after the last round of stops.
Crash
Alonso has retired his McLaren, reporting a loss of power. He's parked on the inside of Turn 3.
Ricciardo is more than one second per lap quicker than Verstappen, Raikkonen and Vettel ahead of him. He's 13s off the lead.
Following cars closely is very punishing on tyres here. So if Ricciardo does catch the cars ahead, he needs to make short work of them to make sure he doesn't throw away his tyre life advantage stuck in dirty air.
Right now, at face value it looks like Red Bull has shuffled Ricciardo out of track position. It looks like it's all going to come down to how the tyres of the top three hold out.
Laps completed on current (medium) tyres: Verstappen 10; Raikkonen 9; Vettel 7; Ricciardo 1
Information
Lap 45/66: 1 Verstappen; 2 Raikkonen +1.0s; 3 Vettel +7.9s; 4 Ricciardo +15.0s
Ricciardo pits. This is going to shake things up. If all three of his former pursuers are going to the end, he's going to need to pass them all on track to win this race.
Verstappen is now just 6.9s behind Ricciardo.
Of the leading quartet, Ricciardo is the only driver on softs, which have 17 laps on them now. Verstappen, Raikkonen and Vettel have eight, seven and five laps on their mediums respectively.
Ricciardo's pace is suffering, so a gap that was over 11s a few laps ago, is now 8.0s between him and Verstappen. Raikkonen sits 1.9s behind the second Red Bull. Behind them, Vettel is another five seconds back (15.6s off the lead) having made a third pitstop.
Ferrari was supposed to be giving Mercedes a harder fight than ever this weekend. It didn't turn out that way in qualifying - here's BEN ANDERSON's take on why:

With a bit of help from team-mate Nico Rosberg, it turned out:

For the first time in three grands prix, Lewis Hamilton was able to participate in a Q3 - and it went pretty well:
