Bottas has managed to fire up his inters quicker than Verstappen, adding to his buffer. Leclerc has yet to stop and sits in the lead.
Perez also makes a stop, allowing Hamilton to make up a place - and the Mercedes driver now sits on Verstappen's tail having not stopped.
Vettel has gambled to pit for the medium tyres and it is a gamble that has failed. On his out-lap he's been off at Turn 4 and Turn 7 and is being overtaken by everyone.
After all that good work in the first stint climbing up the order, Sainz has an awful pitstop, stationary for 8s. He's stuck to the inters.
Bottas reacts to Verstappen's pitlane visit by coming into the pits himself.
Verstappen is the first of the leaders to blink, pitting for fresh intermediate tyres. The cat is very much amongst the pigeons.
Latifi the latest to pit, followed a lap later by Tsunoda and Russell, all opting for fresh inters.
Norris pits for fresh inters and comes out in ninth place, dropping behind Stroll and Sainz.
Hamilton finally gets a run on Perez, and hangs around the outside of Turn 12 to try and get the inside - but Perez SOMEHOW defends from Hamilton in the following corners and remains fourth!
An overtake - not had one of those for a while - as Ricciardo gets by Latifi into Turn 1 on lap 33.
"It's raining more now," Sainz reports over his Ferrari team radio.
Bottas says his rear is getting a little snappy, so has been asked to get some heat into them by avoiding the wet bits of the circuit. Regardless, he's now leaving Verstappen very much behind at his point.
Alonso becomes the second driver to pit in this race. The Alpine driver serves his penalty for the clash with Schumacher before getting a new set of inters and returns in P18.
Ocon is all over the rear of Vettel in the fight for 10th place but cannot find a way through at the Turn 12-14 complex.
"Still rain from Turn 6 to Turn 12," Bottas reports, now 4s ahead of Verstappen at the front.
Mazepin holds Hamilton up a fair bit despite blue flags - luckily for the British driver, Perez ahead had a slow lap in the 1m35s.
At half-race distance it is still only Ricciardo that has pitted in this race. The track appears to be drying out, but really slowly.
"Still no dry line," says Hamilton, "only the exit of Turn 8." Meanwhile, Bottas has re-opened the gap to Verstappen, which sits at 3.7s out front.
"Pace is still good, we're going long," Bottas is told by Riccardo Musconi. "Copy, tyres are basically slicks now," replies the Finn.

Ricciardo aside, the pace of the entire field has dipped slightly. Is it the tyres wearing or is it the rain returning? Or could it even be strategy and tyre preservation in play?

The pace among the leaders has also dropped into the 1m34s, although Perez has picked up the pace to re-open the gap to Hamilton to 3s.
The new intermediate tyres are still getting into the right performance window for Ricciardo. The McLaren driver is currently lapping in the mid 1m34s - around the same pace as team-mate Norris.
"At the moment, Ricciardo is slower with new inters," Leclerc is told.
Leclerc now has the fastest lap, finding some pace in that Ferrari, and picks up a 1m32.981s to close in on the lead battle.
Tsunoda has spun at Turn 9 which drops the AlphaTauri driver down to P13. Having been fighting for the points that's a disaster for the F1 rookie.
And McLaren duly pits Ricciardo to see him rejoin in P18. All eyes on his pace for the rest of the pack now.
"How much faster can you be on a new inter?" Ricciardo is asked over team radio. "Yep, quite a bit faster," is the response. The Australian doesn't have much to lose stuck down in P16.
Hamilton reclaims the fastest lap, a 1m33.019s, as he's 3.3s behind Perez now.
Bottas gets a slide at Turn 1, and an iffy lap helps Verstappen find half a second on the leader at the end of lap 19.
A smoother Sainz gets by Tsunoda under braking for Turn 12 to move up to ninth place. That Ferrari has way more grip than its rivals  and is lapping as fast as the leaders.
Bottas responds a lap later, logging a 1m33.146s to outpace the Red Bull.
Verstappen sets a 1m33.282s, the fastest lap so far.
Hamilton asks if anyone else is complaining about tyres - Bono tells him that he's okay on that front compared to others.
Verstappen's now closing on Bottas, as the Mercedes driver is wearing through those inters at a faster rate. Gasly is told Norris behind him is suffering the same thing.
"Right side getting a little bit bald," Hamilton says of his tyres. His reputation recedes him...
That Sainz on Vettel clash was quickly noted and then deemed not worth an investigation. Ref says play on.
Hamilton sails past Gasly on the back straight to move up to fifth. Perez is next up, 8s ahead.

Ah, not much smooth operating by Sainz there. The Spanish driver gets by Vettel at Turn 12 but braking to the inside line of Vettel he understeers into the Aston Martin.

Bottas reports "some slight drizzle" at the top part of the circuit, as he continues to extend his advantage over Verstappen - as of lap 15, it's a 3.7s lead.
Ricciardo and Alonso aren't finding progress up through the pack quite so easy as smooth operator Sainz. The Ferrari driver is P11 all over the rear of Vettel, while Ricciardo is still stuck behind Russell in P16 with Alonso right behind him.
