Schumacher seemed to clip the kerb at Turn 9 and just careened straight into the wall. The medical car has arrived - he still seems to be in the cockpit at the moment.
The drop zone so far is populated by Zhou, Ricciardo, Magnussen, Stroll and Ocon.
Ricciardo looked to be getting very in the way there of Esteban Ocon, and the French driver made his displeasure very known over the radio. Ocon sits P15 at the moment...
It's P6 for Bottas for now, as Zhou is just a shade off Gasly's P10 time and currently sits 11th for now.
The Alfa Romeos haven't set times yet, but Bottas and Zhou are about to come round and log some laps...
Sainz moves up to third, but moves down to fourth after Verstappen drops into P3 on his opening lap.
Another incident noted: some kind of impeding between Ocon and Ricciardo. The Aussie's got a few sessions with the stewards lined up for after qualifying.
Russell and Norris go second and third for a spell, before Perez shuffles the British duo down a spot with a second-place time.
Magnussen did a 1m30.206s, but Schumacher sets a 1m29.920s to briefly go top - before Leclerc hammers in a 1m28.883s to go top.
Once more, Schumacher and Magnussen will be first to set laps in Q2 - what do the Haas lads have?
Twitter's not pulling through our live updates, so we're not sure what's happened there. Early exit in Q1, apparently...
We've got an investigation between Ricciardo and Magnussen over a potential unsafe release in the pitlane. That'll be investigated post-quali.
Sainz was quickest in that session from Verstappen, Leclerc, Russell, Bottas and Perez. Magnussen, Gasly, Norris and Zhou complete the top 10 in the first segment of quali.
Eliminated in Q1: Hamilton, Albon, Hulkenberg, Latifi, Tsunoda.
That's a massive upset there - Hamilton struggling to wring any time out of the Mercedes. "I'm so sorry, guys," Hamilton says.
Hamilton gets out of the drop zone, but he's back in - the seven-time champion is out of qualifying as Stroll pushes him back into the bottom five!
There's a series of pained looks in the Mercedes garage, the team's reserve driver and FE champion Nyck de Vries with a grimace upon his face.
Schumacher gets up to P11, ahead of Alonso. Hamilton says "I can't seem to improve" - but it looks like he's going to try again on these same tyres.
Perez gets back into the top five, as Gasly gets up to sixth. This leaves Hamilton in the drop zone - and he's not able to get out at the moment!
Magnussen now goes up to seventh, ahead of Perez, as Verstappen splits the Ferraris to go up to second.
Norris catapults up to fifth, but is immediately bumped down to sixth by Bottas. Zhou powers up to P8 for now.
"Something fuel related" down at AlphaTauri, with Tsunoda facing a lay-off in the pits as it stands. He's in the drop zone with Ricciardo, Hulkenberg, Albon and Latifi.
Russell goes up to fourth, but Hamilton's only down in 13th for now - just under 0.2s ahead of the drop zone!
It's a 1m29.039s for Leclerc, but Sainz punches in a 1m28.855s to go top!
Perez punches in a 1m30.111s - almost 0.8s off his team-mate. Bottas was P3, but the two Ferraris are very quick...
It's a 1m29.330s for Verstappen, which of course is quite quick. P1 for the Red Bull driver so far.
"We need to box for an issue" - Tsunoda's been given the call to come in. Nightmare for the AlphaTauri driver, who doesn't have a time on the board.
Mercedes bins off the medium-compound tyre for the second set of runs, sticking on the softs to match the rest of the field.
We're back on track, Valtteri Bottas kicking us back off in Q1.
Should hopefully be a swift clean-up job there, as Latifi's car is pretty much next to the exit point at Turn 13.
"I don't know how the rear just let go there," Latifi says over the radio. The Williams driver was a mere passenger in that, as the car just swapped out on him.
It's a red flag! The Ferraris were both on laps, but immediately had the pin put in them as Latifi has crashed!
Hamilton has also persisted with the medium tyre, but is struggling for grip out there. He's done a cooldown lap, potentially to fire in another lap on the same set.
Schumacher seems to have backed out on his first lap, so he's treated it as a build lap and goes again. He goes P2, exactly a tenth off Magnussen.
Magnussen kicks us off with a 1m30.425s, with the two McLarens slotting in behind the Dane. Russell goes P4, but he's on the medium tyre for some reason.
There's ex-England manager Fabio Capello, spotted in the Ferrari garage. Rumours that the hospitality ketchup bottles have gone missing remain unconfirmed...
The Haas boys are first on the road, Schumacher from Magnussen, with Zhou and Latifi behind them.
Green flag is out - and qualifying is go! Are you ready? Let's begin.
