Welcome back to Autosport's live updates for the Mexico City Grand Prix! It's almost time for FP3 at the Autodromo Hermanos Rodriguez.
Valtteri Bottas led FP1, while Max Verstappen took the top spot in FP2 yesterday afternoon.
It's dry and warm in Mexico City, with an air temperature of 17.5 °C and a track temperature of 35.3 °C.
Just before the session, McLaren suggested that Lando Norris would start tomorrow's race from the back of the grid after having a fresh power unit fitted

Green lights at the end of the pitlane and FP3 is underway!
The session might have started, but on track action hasn't - hometown hero Sergio Perez is still having a chat with Helmut Marko
With Lando's power unit change confirmed, he'll join Aston Martin's Lance Stroll and AlphaTauri's Yuki Tsunoda at the back of the grid tomorrow
Yuki Tsunoda is first out on track, five minutes into the session
"The oil is so slippery," says Tsunoda. Well I never!
Lance Stroll has joined Tsunoda out on track in his Aston Martin - just the two cars out on track with 50 minutes to go
Mr Saturday George Russell has headed out in his Williams, but he will also take a five-place grid penalty after gearbox issues in FP2
Tsunoda and Russell are the only drivers so far to set times, with a 1m19.744s and a 1m23.771s respectively
With 20 minutes down, a few other cars have headed out on track, with both Ferraris now out the garage
Carlos Sainz goes for a nice drift over the oil, which was left by one of the support series earlier in the day
That Turn 4 oil is causing a few problems, with Charles Leclerc also taking a slide on it

Hamilton goes top with a 1m18.770s, almost half a second clear of second-placed Lando Norris

Bottas is now quickest, setting a 1m18.661s, leading from Hamilton and Leclerc

Big cheer from the grandstands as Perez goes quickest by 0.036s
As the track improves, so do the times - Leclerc tops the timesheet with a 1m18.213s
Lockups from Hamilton and Alonso there at Turn 1, followed by a trip across the grass to make it round the bollard before rejoining
We're now halfway through the session with only Verstappen left to set a timed lap

...and Verstappen goes quickest, crossing the line with a 1m17.537 to top the times by almost 0.4s from his teammate
Bottas is currently splitting the Red Bulls, with Hamilton down in P7
With 20 minutes to go, Verstappen occupies the top spot with a 1m17.217 - 0.4s ahead of Bottas in second
Spin there from Leclerc, who escapes without damage but heads back to the pits anyway
Bottas and Hamilton are back out on track with fresh sets of soft tyres after a setup change
Esteban Ocon is also taking a new power unit ahead of Qualifying and will start from the back of the grid on Sunday
The Red Bull pair lead the timesheet heading into the last 10 minutes of practice, with the two Mercedes in P3 and P4
"Traffic paradise," says Bottas as he gets caught up in the stadium section
Hamilton sets a 1m17.675s to take third place, but is still 0.6s behind Perez in P1
Further down the field, Tsunoda sits P6 with a 1m18.037, splitting the Ferraris

Perez finished the session top, with teammate Verstappen in P2, followed by the Mercedes pair of Hamilton and Bottas in P3 and P4

Good evening! Who fancies some F1 qualifying action? Sound like a plan?
Need a quick recap on what happened in FP3? It was a slow burner but ended in pretty frantic fashion, with home hero Perez topping the session from Red Bull team-mate Verstappen, while Hamilton was in third 0.6s back.
The other key bit of housekeeping before qualifying is rounding up the grid penalties. And there's a lot of them.
Penalty
Stroll, Tsunoda, Norris and Ocon will all take back of the grid penalties into qualifying for power unit changes. Russell is carrying a five-place grid penalty after his race gearbox went pop on Friday.
The quartet of back of the grid-ers will be ordered on their qualifying times, from fastest (17th) to slowest (20th and last). Easy.
