F1 Dutch GP Live Commentary and Updates - Race day

Updates from Sunday at Zandvoort for the Formula 1 Dutch Grand Prix

Pole man Max Verstappen, Red Bull Racing RB18, arrives in Parc Ferme

Max Verstappen starts from pole position for his home race after beating Charles Leclerc to top spot in qualifying by just 0.021s. Leclerc’s Ferrari team-mate Carlos Sainz starts from third, ahead of the Mercedes of Lewis Hamilton, as Sergio Perez qualified fifth after spinning late on.

F1's trip to Zandvoort will be its second in a row after the seaside circuit was reinstated to the calendar last year, having been dropped at the end of 1985. Verstappen won last year's race.

Tyre news: softs for all except Hamilton, Russell, Norris, Schumacher, Albon and Magnussen - who are on mediums.
We have coffee and five minutes before the race. We're ready to rock - are you?
It's quite overcast at Zandvoort - 20% chance of rain. Not a huge possibility, but never rule it out.
Will avoid spoilers, but the MotoGP race at Misano featured a very thrilling battle for victory. If F1 gets anything like that today, it'll be fun.
Hopefully we'll get a bit of strategic variance in this race at Zandvoort. Mick Schumacher said yesterday that "I think everybody's going to struggle a bit with tyre management. It's obviously a high intensity track for the tyres, especially surface temperature seems to be concern at times."
25 minutes to go, and the cars are sat on the grid - and the drivers do their final bit of preparation before settling in for a Sunday afternoon drive.
Sergio Perez and Lance Stroll have both had changes to their power units between qualifying and the race - but as they're components already in the pool, they won't get penalties. Stroll had been denied a chance to run in Q3 with his issues.
So let's recap yesterday as we look forward to today's race: Max Verstappen grabbed pole having looked imperious in qualifying. Leclerc was fractions away from upsetting the home fans, and starts alongside.
In just over 50 minutes, we'll have lights out at Zandvoort - and the 72-lap blast around the circuit on the Dutch seafront will begin. Let's hope for a fun one.
Good afternoon everyone, and welcome to our Autosport Live coverage of race day for the Dutch Grand Prix!
