Pit stop
Alonso, who has a near-miss with Bottas on his in-lap, pits from fifth and comes out in sixth - behind Norris but ahead of Hamilton.
Sargeant enjoyed his time in the top 10 but drops from P9 to P11 with his stop. A quiet but impressive performance so far for the American.
Norris uses his fresher tyres to overtake Gasly to move up to sixth place.
Pit stop
Hamilton pits next time around to respond to Norris, but as he has to serve his five-second penalty, it means he's powerless to stop the McLaren overtaking him. Hamilton comes out in eighth.
Penalty
Gasly is under investigation for track limits, and...there's the penalty!
Pit stop
Norris makes his second pitstop and comes out in in eighth place. At the same time Perez overtakes Alonso at Turn 3 for fifth place.
Ocon serves his penalty during his latest stop and returns to the track in P14.
Norris has dropped to 10s off Sainz after an off-track moment at Turn 3, and that's reeling in Hamilton, Alonso and Perez on to him.
Quote
"Has anyone else got penalties yet?" Hamilton asks. "They are all going to get penalties ahead of you," Wolff responds, with very much a keep calm and carry on message. The boss has spoken.
Penalty
Seemingly inevitably, de Vries has a five-second penalty for forcing Magnussen off the track.
The incident between Magnussen and De Vries is now under investigation.
From P12, Stroll stops for the second time and puts on a fresh set of hard tyres. That will be a stretch to get to the end of the race from lap 38 of 71.
Verstappen is clearing off into the distance, as at the end of lap 37 his lead stands at 3.3s over Leclerc. Further back, Hamilton in fifth is out of DRS range of Norris ahead of him.
Magnussen and De Vries come together for the second time this year as the latter is forced off the track and onto the gravel by the AlphaTauri driver. At present, there is no sign of an investigation on that one.
As the lead changes, Perez climbs to P7, overtaking Gasly.
On lap 35 Verstappen regains the lead with DRS, up the inside into Turn 3, and retains DRS for the run to Turn 4 to blast clear.
Gasly has had another lap deleted. I think you see where this is about to go, given he has already been shown the black-and-white flag.
Penalty
And there is Albon's penalty! Five seconds for everyone, it would appear!
Verstappen has DRS on Leclerc and you can probably guess how this will pan out...
Albon also gets the black-and-white flag. Is anyone close to calling bingo yet?
Leclerc is told tyre degradation is higher than expected and is asked about a three-stop strategy on team radio. "No," is the affirmative.
And now, Gasly has been shown the black-and-white flag for track limits. One more strike, and he will join those with penalties.
Gasly and Albon are the drivers currently lighting up the race control ticker with deleted lap times...
Leclerc's lead is down to 2.9s and is due to be battling Verstappen in three laps time.
Perez executes a clean move on Russell for P9 this time. The Mexican cruised up on the Mercedes and pulled away with ease on the exit, despite Russell having DRS.
With Sainz and Hamilton on penalties, this could be a huge opportunity for Norris to get a podium today. There's a long way to go, but he's in the fight and holds a useful advantage.
Uh oh! Tsunoda is under investigation for failing to serve his penalty correctly. Expect another sanction to be on its way!
Penalty
Sainz has a five-second penalty for track limits. I hope you are keeping count back home.
Hamilton, with a reported brake issue, has no defence to Norris who dives ahead up the inside at Turn 4 to take fourth place.
Pit stop
Perez pitted for the first time in this race and is now back in 10th place chasing Albon.
Verstappen gets back ahead of Sainz out of Turn 3 and into Turn 4, to move up to second. He's 6s behind Leclerc now.
Tsunoda pits and serves his penalty, as Ocon is now handed a five-second penalty. This time, it is for an unsafe pit release and not track limits. Variety and all that!
Pit stop
Verstappen pits from the lead, taking on fresh hards, which allows the two Ferraris to nip ahead. Verstappen doesn't lead a lap of a race for the first time since lap 48 of the Miami GP! That's 249 consecutive laps led.
Piastri has front wing damage after making contact with Magnussen. The contact was the result of a concertina effect as Tusnoda was passed.
Quote
"Perez completely off at Turn 10, has he got a penalty yet?" Hamilton says over team radio. Not yet, but Perez has just been pinged for a track limit offence at Turn 9.
Hamilton gives it a go around the outside of Perez at Turn 4 but he locks up a little and has to cede to the Mexican.
Sainz is the latest driver to be given a black and white flag for track limits.
Oddly, Hulkenberg has been warned about track limits. Given he has retired from the race, you would suspect he isn't entirely worried about that one!
Sainz is a driver on a mission after that Ferrari strategy misstep. He goes around the outside of Perez at Turn 4 to take third.
A pitlane incident is now under investigation between Ocon and Sargeant after the latter was forced to slow to avoid contact during the VSC period.
