Sainz inches slightly clear of Vettel and they're both pretty close to third-placed Perez.
Hamilton is 0.9s quicker than Rosberg this time past and the lead grows to 4s with 18.5 minutes left.
Sauber is trying to keep Nasr calm, knowing he stands to turn the Swiss team's season around if he can remain sixth to the flag.
Sainz continues to hold fourth, but under a fair bit of pressure from Vettel now.
Manor tells Wehrlein to be less aggressive into Turn 12.
Hamilton completes the first lap after the restart 2s clear of Rosberg and 4s ahead of Perez.
A 360 degree spin for Alonso, similar to Vettel way back at the beginning of this race. He drops to 17th behind team-mate Button with that.
Hamilton gets up to speed now and he's 1.7s clear of Rosberg by the middle sector.
Rosberg is much closer to Hamilton on this restart than he has been before.
Back to green, another slick restart from Hamilton.
So the lead group is now Hamilton, Rosberg, Perez, Sainz, Vettel after the Red Bulls' stops to retake wets.
"Just past the pit entry on full throttle, where Kimi had his accident, a lot of aquaplaning there," reports Button.
Verstappen pits, the clincher: "can you make your way through the field on full wets?" He agrees.
Red Bull and Verstappen are debating whether to come in for wets.
"We are waiting for a crash to happen like this," says Verstappen as he struggles on inters even behind the safety car.
"More water now, how many more crashes do they want to see?" says Rosberg. "Massive aquaplaning."
Ricciardo and Wehrlein have come into the pits to fit fresh wets. Ricciardo was complaining the rain was worsening under the safety car.
"The safety car's so slow I'm struggling to keep temperature in these tyres," says Hamilton, who's told it will improve.
"The mirrors are quite useless, so tell me cars that will overtake me," says Alonso to McLaren. The team tells him Magnussen, Gutierrez and Button will be allowed to come through as lapped cars.
"They need to clean up well - a lot of debris," reports Hulkenberg on the aftermath of Massa's crash.
"Seriously, the car is not working guys. I've not forgotten how to drive in the wet! It's the same as qualifying." Button is not a happy man in that McLaren-Honda, which he felt had way too much oversteer dialled into it yesterday.
Technically there are 20 laps to go, but the clock says only 33 minutes left so we won't go full distance.
Replays show Massa saving a massive slide before crashing in a similar fashion to Ericsson, losing control on the inside line then smashing into the barriers on the outside then back across to the inside of the track.
11 Ocon (W); 12 Kvyat (W); 13 Bottas (I); 14 Wehrlein (W); 15 Magnussen (I); 16 Gutierrez (W); 17 Button (W)
1 Hamilton (W); 2 Rosberg (W); 3 Perez (W); 4 Sainz (W); 5 Verstappen (I); 6 Vettel (W); 7 Nasr (W); 8 Alonso (W): 9 Hulkenberg (W); 10 Ricciardo (I)
Massa looks very emotional as he wraps himself in a Brazilian flag and waves to the crowd.
"Had a bit of aquaplaning just now," reports Hamilton, who thinks his wet tyres are getting tired.
So this will bunch the pack up and help the Red Bulls catch those on wets - but the rain is increasing so are inters the right option?
Massa waves a final grand prix farewell to his adoring Brazilian public as he trudges back into the pits.
