Alonso is told by his engineer "people are still improving", even though the driver reports rain is getting heavier.

It seems drivers are still able to improve in sectors one and two.
Stroll is the latest driver down the back of the field to improve his time but stay mired in the bottom five. He's 19th.
"We're not going improve anywhere," says Gasly. "Tell me if other drivers are improving because if they aren't, there's no point in pushing."
Through to Q2: Verstappen, Raikkonen, Vettel, Hamilton, Magnussen, Bottas, Ricciardo, Leclerc, Grosjean, Ericsson, Hulkenberg, Gasly, Perez, Sirotkin, Ocon.
Gasly is increasingly active on the radio, but showing excellent tactical nous. He wants Toro Rosso ready to get his car turned around and ready to go again to make use of the track while it's still relatively dry.
All eyes on the sky as we start Q2 with a stream of cars heading out.
Magnussen is told more rain is "definitely coming" so it's important to get a lap in early.

More rain expected in five minutes.
