Remember those 'controversial' rear wheel spacers Mercedes ran last season, in conjunction with those scalloped rims?

Williams has turned up this week with its own variation. The holes in the spacer are a lot more pronounced than Mercedes's collection of small holes, suggesting a greater emphasis on extracting heat from the centre of the wheel assembly.

A new personal best for Albon this time - that's a 1m18.923s on the C4 tyres.
Albon also set a personal best in the second sector but didn't improve in the final one and remains eighth.
Norris brings the McLaren back into the pits again after another short run.
Norris follows Stroll - who we're more confident the next time round is on the C4 - over the line, moving up to fourth on a 1m18.260s.
Norris is back out on what definitely looks like a C5, and sets personal bests in the first two sectors.
Stroll goes faster in the end, but not fastest. His 1m17.824s puts him second, but we can't tell whether that was on the C4 or C5.
if it wasn't clear previously, Vettel is definitely on a long run here. He's still lapping in the 1m24s on the C4 tyre.
Stroll and Giovinazzi head back out to give Vettel some company.
Norris brings the McLaren back in next time round. If that was a glory run, we wouldn't say it impressed us.
Norris finally improves on the 1m22.306s he set at 10am this morning, and vaults up to eighth with a 1m19.264s set on his first lap on the C5 tyre.
Ricciardo heads in, so it's just Vettel and Norris (who's just headed out for McLaren) out there now.
Albon, presumably as fed up with the timing screen's lack of responsiveness as we are, has pitted for good measure. Gasly's done so too.
We're in a bit of a spell now without any improvements on the board. We did just spot a flash of green on the timing screens, thanks to a new personal best from Albon in the first sector, but unless the timing screens are playing tricks on us he didn't improve.
Vettel heads in and back out for Ferrari, but Giovinazzi has taken the Alfa back to the garage for now.
We are into the final hour of Tuesday's session. Time for a lap update.

Magnussen - 119
Gasly - 110
Russell - 106
Giovinazzi - 90
Albon - 85
Hamilton - 83
Hulkenberg - 80
Stroll - 73
Norris - 71
Ricciardo - 54
Vettel - 52
Leclerc - 29
Bottas - 1
That's a little better. We now have a 1m23.071s lap for Gasly and a 1m19.202 for Albon on the screen.
The timing screens here appear to be playing up slightly. They keep suggesting Gasly has only completed one sector, and that Albon is still on an outlap - but he's come across the line multiple times since he exited the pits.
Stroll improves to third with a time of 1m18.215s, with a trio of green sectors. A nice improvement of just over two tenths in the final sector too.
Few drivers are lapping near their benchmarks, Giovinazzi has been consistently around a second off his best time in recent running.
It's unusual to see a Williams stretching away from a Ferrari and a Renault while Gasly’s Red Bull works its way through that pack over the last few laps. Enjoy it while it lasts George!
Vettel's back into the 1m25-26s range again as Ferrari bats half a century for today.
Russell's cleared 100 laps for Williams now, totalling 103 and getting the team some crucial mileage and data.
Speaking of Ricciardo, Ben's made some observations:

Ricciardo looks more comfortable on the C3 than he did on the C2 white-walled tyre.

Unsurprisingly the softer compound affords him more room to attack these Turn 7/8 esses at speed.
He narrowly misses out on an improvement, coming across the line behind the Ferrari and Williams in 1m20.256s. The flirt.
Ricciardo's set a personal best first sector, we're quite excited because its the first we've seen for a while.
