Norris has bettered his time to a 1m22.306s but stays ninth for now - ahead only of Russell, who's still lapping in the 1m40-1m50s bracket on the short runs he's managed so far.
Hamilton and Russell return to the pits now.
Giovinazzi goes for an in-out strategy, stopping at the end of the pitlane for another practice start.
Hamilton is back out, too, and has a session-high 23 laps to his name so far this morning.
It's straight back in for Hamilton, though, as Gasly takes the Red Bull out on a set of new, shiny C3 tyres.
Stroll also pits, after failing to unseat Gasly from the top of the leaderboard on that dev-tyre run.
New personal best - but not session best - for Gasly at the start of this run. Russell has headed back out in the Williams.
But it is a new overall best in sector two for Gasly...
Stopwatch
And it's a new session-best time come the end of that lap for Gasly - a 1m18.647s. That's already the fastest lap Red Bull has managed in testing so far.
Gasly rolls through the pits at the end of a cool-down lap before attempting a practice start.
Russell is back on cruise duty on this run on C4 tyres, although his latest lap is a new personal best. That's not saying much, though, as its a 1m45.447s.
Magnussen is back out on track in the Haas and sets a new best of 1m19.716s.
Russell is back in the pits after adding a couple of laps to his morning tally. Gasly, Magnussen, Norris and Giovinazzi remain on track for now.
Hulkenberg takes the Renault for another spin, as Giovinazzi vaults the Alfa Romeo up to third on a 1m19.391s.
Hamilton is back out on a set of C2s, which Hulkenberg also has fitted to his Renault.
We haven't heard too much from Toro Rosso this morning - Albon has only completed seven laps so far today. He's been spotted by our team of journalists with his family, so it doesn't look like he's in any rush to get out there.
Apart from Leclerc, Albon is the only driver still with a single-digit lap count to his name.

Hamilton sets a new personal best of 1m20.943s, but it doesn't elevate him above seventh.

Here is how the lap count leaderboard looks at the moment, with an hour and a half of the morning gone:
Hamilton - 26
Hulkenberg - 25
Magnussen - 24
Gasly - 24
Giovinazzi - 20
Norris - 18
Stroll - 12
Russell - 11
Albon - 7
Leclerc - 6
Hamilton - 26
Hulkenberg - 25
Magnussen - 24
Gasly - 24
Giovinazzi - 20
Norris - 18
Stroll - 12
Russell - 11
Albon - 7
Leclerc - 6
Gasly pits at the end of that stint. After that glory lap at the start of the run, he settled into a more consistent rhythm of 1m22-3s laps.
Hamilton does move up the leaderboard this time by, with a new best of 1m20.855s.
And he improves another position to fifth - we forgot to give you that info on his last lap - with his next lap, a 1m20.764s.

Russell has been out once more and returned to the track in the Williams, while Stroll - who has a set of C2s on - is back out and fastest of all in the first sector.

His second and third sectors let him down, though, and Stroll can't improve this time. Disappointing.
Just the Racing Point driver, Hamilton, Hulkenberg and Norris on track at the moment.
We have our first spot of green on the timing screens for a little while, as Norris sets a personal best first sector in the McLaren.
No improvement over the line from Norris, though, who goes half a second slower than his current best.
Stroll brings the Racing Point - not the Force India, as we've successfully avoided calling it so far this morning - back to the garage, so it's just lap-count leader Hamilton and Norris on-track right now.
Magnussen takes the Haas to the end of the pitlane for a practice start, and is followed by Hamilton - who does a quick in-out before continuing this run on C2s.
No question of C3 or not C3 for Red Bull - the middle compound is certainly the order of the day for Gasly. He's back out on what looks like a used set of the yellow-banded tyre.
Hamilton is back in the pits proper this time by. A strong morning so far for the world champion, whose lap count is up to 40.
Russell is back out there for Williams, and sets a new personal best time in the final sector on his outlap. His first sector indicates he's going to get closer to setting a representative time on this run.
Russell slashes 15s off his best, setting a new best of 1m29.105s. Every little helps...
Russell goes one better on his next lap and hauls himself off the bottom of the pile with a 1m21.636s on the C3 tyre.
The F2 champion's 1m20.997s set on the final day of the first test currently stands as Williams's best time so far.
All the times coming in now. Giovinazzi goes second with a 1m18.929s, while Magnussen stays fourth but sets a new personal best of 1m19.644s.
Russell inches closer to his best time from the first week of testing with his next hot lap, which is a 1m21.102s. That keeps him eighth for now.

Mercedes has tweaked its front wing for the second week of pre-season testing, as well as adding a few other new aerodynamic components as it pursues extra performance:

Hulkenberg is back out in the Renault. He's frustratingly out of eyesight from our media centre vantage point as he leaves the garage to spot what compound he's on.
