Disaster for Sauber: Nasr will not take the start of the race. The gearbox problem is terminal and his car's under covers.
The air temperature is a bit cooler than it has been before now at 19C, with the track temperature 32C.

Some clouds in the sky but a dry race expected.
Talking of tyres, there was some concern yesterday that Hamilton might have flat-spotted his race-starting set, but the world champion confirmed last night there was no lasting damage to the front tyre in question, so he's all good to go.
This is how the grid should line up, subject to Nasr's Sauber being sorted:

1 Hamilton
2 Rosberg
3 Massa
4 Bottas
5 Raikkonen
6 Vettel
7 Kvyat
8 Sainz
9 Hulkenberg
10 Ricciardo
11 Perez
12 Grosjean
13 Verstappen
14 Maldonado
15 Ericsson
16 Nasr
17 Alonso
18 Button
19 Stevens
20 Merhi
The national anthem plays out with the drivers gathered at the front of the grid. The capacity Silverstone crowd stands for it as well. Nice work everyone.
There's already been a problem for Sauber - Felipe Nasr stopped at Stowe.

The engine's fired up in the garage so let's see if the Brazilian can make the start.
It's an all-Mercedes front row, then an all-Williams second row, then an all-Ferrari third row...

In case you missed it yesterday, here's how qualifying unfolded:

Hamilton beats Rosberg to home pole
Hello and welcome to AUTOSPORT Live's coverage of the 2015 British Grand Prix.

Lewis Hamilton starts on pole, but he'll have to buck a poor trend for drivers at the head of grid - it's not usually something that gets converted into victory at Silverstone...
