Lap 49: Up front, Hamilton now leads Perez by just 8.4 seconds, with Alonso a further six seconds back in third.

Lap 44: Alonso is just a couple of seconds ahead of Perez and the Mexican is sure to be giving the Spaniard a headache pretty soon.
Lap 43: Rosberg is through on Ricciardo and up into 11th place.
Lap 43: Perez needs no help to blast past Massa down into Parabolica and take over third place.

Lap 40: Alonso gets DRS on his team-mate and there is little resistance as the Spaniard takes over second place.

Lap 39: Alonso closes to 0.9 seconds behind Massa and a move for the benefit of the championship is surely imminent.
Lap 39: Vettel has another go at team-mate Webber into the first chicane and this time he makes it through. Vettel up to eighth spot.
