Lap 28: Seventh and eighth at the moment is Massa vs Hulkenberg, with the pair in a close fight. Both are on the medium compound.
Lap 28: Button pits the McLaren for the second time. He takes on another set of medium compound tyres and rejoins in 13th place.
Lap 27: Alonso and Raikkonen, fourth and fifth, are slowly closing on Hamilton, who is the first man on the road to have used both tyre compounds.
Lap 27: Petrov pits for the second time and rejoins in 19th and clear space, ahead of de la Rosa.
Lap 27: Senna comes in and serves his drive-through penalty. He rejoins still in last place but now some distance behind Karthikeyan.
Lap 26: Grosjean clocks a 1m44.451s fastest lap, but is still over 20 seconds behind Vettel. Both need to stop again.
Lap 26: Ricciardo passes Perez in a good move and takes over 10th position.
Lap 26: A safety car intervention is always a threat here, but Vettel has plenty of pace in hand even if he does lose that massive lead gap.
Lap 26: Di Resta has dropped to 15th position after that stop and has Petrov on his gearbox.
Lap 25: Up front, Vettel leads by 20.6 seconds and continues to pull away from Grosjean. The Red Bull man has little to worry about for the moment.
Lap 25: Bruno Senna has been given a drive-through penalty for causing a collision in that incident with Kobayashi, despite the fact he was ahead.
Lap 25: Force India make the obvious move and di Resta is back underway on medium rubber for what they hope will be a run to the end.
Lap 24: Di Resta's tyres are clearly shot now as he is jumped by Maldonado without a fight.
Lap 24: Schumacher is down to 14th place and some 6.2s down on his team-mate, with Webber 15th, Petrov 16th, Kovalainen 17th and Kobayashi in 18th.
Lap 24: Raikkonen is the next man to trouble the gearbox of di Resta's oversteering Force India. He's quickly past into fifth.
Lap 23: All that action means that Massa is now eighth with Hulkenberg ninth, Button 10th, Perez 11th, Ricciardo 12th and Rosberg 13th.
Lap 23: Alonso is up to fourth after a simple move past the Force India of di Resta - struggling for grip now attempting to one stop.
Lap 22: Hamilton looks happier with his pace on these medium tyres, lapping in the late 1m45s bracket, which is not far off Grosjean on softs.
Lap 22: Make that 23rd place for Senna as Karthikeyan blasts round and ahead of the Brazilian as he exits the pitlane.
Lap 22: Senna is also in and he takes on a new nose, medium compound tyres and rejoins way down in 22nd position.
Lap 22: Rosberg and Kobayashi has been into the tyres. Rosberg for tyres, Kobayashi for that front wing change. Both rejoin.
Lap 22: Shame for Kobayashi, he'd been having his best race of the season arguably, @OfficialSF1Team: "front wing for #Kamui, front wing. box, box. shame."
Lap 21: Up front, Vettel's pace is unstoppable as he leads by 19 seconds over Grosjean.
Lap 21: Kobayashi attacks Senna and they touch! Senna is sent spinning wildly across the track and the Sauber driver has a damaged front wing.
Lap 21: Raikkonen barges past Senna and there is inevitable contact behind, with Senna spun after a touch from Kobayashi.
Lap 20: Schumacher and Webber pit together. They immediately slip down to 16th and 17th positions ion an instant.
Lap 20: This is an enormous scrap now with about 10 cars involved. Raikkonen passes Webber for ninth.
Lap 20: Meanwhile, Grosjean has taken over second from di Resta, while Hamilton pushes past Rosberg's Mercedes.
Lap 19: Alonso continues his charge, diving past Schumacher at Turn 4 in an agressive move.
Lap 19: Alonso is working his way through the traffic well. He then eases past Senna to take over seventh and he is now on Schumacher's tail.
Lap 19: Grosjean makes an easy move on the yet-to-pit Rosberg to take over third.
Lap 19: Alonso makes an easy move on Webber, who is struggling towards the end of life from his starting tyres.
Lap 19: Alonso passes Webber for eighth spot and the Spanish crowd roars its approval.
Lap 18: Well behind Hamilton, a train is forming behind sixth-place man Schumacher, who is yet to stop.
Lap 18: A massive scrap for sixth with Schumacher holding up Senna, Webber, Alonso, Raikkonen and Kobayashi.
Lap 18: Grosjean is now fourth and told that Hamilton behind has opted for the harder tyres in this stint.
Lap 18: Schumacher, Senna, Webber and Vergne are the only other drivers yet to stop this afternoon.
Lap 17: Di Resta is now up to second place, with Rosberg third. Both are yet to make a first stop despite starting on the soft tyres.
