Lap 11: Raikkonen is under pressure from Schumacher on DRS and... the German is through!
Lap 11: Vettel is promoted to eighth, and he is on the tail of Senna up the Kemmel straight, but he can't make the move stick.
Lap 11: Di Resta pits his Force India.
Lap 11: Kobayashi is beginning to make progress and will shortly be on the back of the two Marussia cars. He is still 19th for the moment.
Lap 11: Di Resta had faded over three seconds behind Schumacher and is leading the train in the middle of the top 10.
Lap 10: Ricciardo makes the DRS work this time as he blasts past di Resta to take fifth in his Toro Rosso.
Lap 10: Button continues to build his lead as Hulkenberg, Raikkonen and Schumacher behind finally break into the 1m57s bracket.
Lap 10: Vettel has caught up to the back of team-mate Webber. The German completes a good move at the Bus Stop and takes ninth.
Lap 10: Kovalainen has passed de la Rosa to take 15th. His next target is Karthikeyan, directly ahead.
Lap 9: Meanwhile, Ricciardo is getting the DRS benefit as he closes on di Resta in a battle for fifth.
Lap 9: Button's pace is dominant at this stage, pulling 5.2 seconds clear of Hulkenberg as Raikkonen closes a fraction on the Force India.
Lap 9: Webber in ninth is all over the back of Senna's Williams. The Australian tried to get past up the Kemmel straight, but Senna was able to hold him off.
Lap 8: Kobayashi pits the Sauber once again. His dream day has gone badly wrong. He is down to 19th.
Lap 8: Vettel is still on the gearbox of Massa and the German makes it through at the Bus Stop chicane. The Red Bull driver takes 10th.
Lap 8: Raikkonen complains he doesn't have any grip as Button streaks away up front.
Lap 8: Hulkenberg started on the hard compound tyres and has good pace in a great second place.
Lap 7: Kovalainen has slipped down the field after a spin at the final chicane. He is now 16th.
Lap 7: Button is already 3.6 seconds clear of Hulkenberg with Raikkonen not making an impression on the Force India and Schumacher closing in.
Lap 7: Race control states that Maldonado and Glock are under investigation, probably for the incident at the restart which resulted in the Venezuelan's retirement.
Lap 7: DRS is now enabled as the pack race into the seventh lap.
Lap 7: So now we have 19 survivors in this amazing first stint to the race. Rosberg has passed Kovalainen to take over 12th spot.
Lap 6: Schumacher dives past di Resta's Force India on the run down to La Source, moving the German up to fourth on his 300th grand prix appearance.
Lap 6: Massa and Vettel got past Kovalainen easily. They have also both passed Rosberg and they are up to 10th and 11th.
Lap 6: Button leads by a sizable 2.8 seconds from Hulkenberg, with Raikkonen now a second behind the Force India.
Lap 6: Maldonado is now under investigation for a jump start. He is already out of the race.
Lap 6: Raikkonen was caught napping on that restart and has not only let Button streak away but Hulkenberg is now through into second!
Lap 5: Maldonado has suffered damage and he pulls off at Les Combes with a damaged front wing.
Lap 5: Jostling in the pack at La Source as Webber puts pressure on Senna's eight-placed Williams.
Lap 5: Massa runs wide at Eau Rouge and that allows Vettel to get on his tail and try a move, but Kovalainen's Caterham is in the way and the German has to back off.
Lap 5: Button leads away strongly on a clean restart from Raikkonen and Hulkenberg.
Lap 5: The safety car comes into the pitlane and we are racing once again.
Lap 4: With Alonso out, this is a great opportunity for a major impact on the championship points, with Raikkonen best placed to take advantage.
Lap 4: The safety car will pit at the end of this lap.
Lap 4: Vergne is seventh with Senna eighth, Webber ninth, Kovalainen up to 10th, Massa 11th, Vettel down to 12th, Rosberg 13th and Karthikeyan 14th
Lap 4: Button leads the race under safety car, from Raikkonen, Hulkenberg, di Resta, Schumacher fifth and Ricciardo in sixth.
Lap 4: So, as the wreckage continues to be cleared from the La Source hairpin, let's take a full run through the order.
Lap 4: The jumbled field trails around with Button ahead of Raikkonen, Hulkenberg, di Resta, Schumacher, Ricciardo, Vergne, Senna and Webber.
Lap 3: On board from Hamilton, it is clear that the Briton had little chance after that harsh cut across the road from the Lotus driver.
Lap 3: Further replays show that Grosjean was aggressive in moving across on Hamilton, as the Briton was trying that move up the inside into Turn 1.
Lap 3: Alonso was lucky not to have his head taken off by the flying Lotus, after it was launched up the back of Perez's Sauber.
