Lap 4: Di Resta is 11th with Senna 12th, Kobayashi 13th, Vergne up to 14th, Maldonado 15th and Schumacher making progress in 16th.
Lap 4: Grosjean takes his first chance at a DRS move and he blasts past Webber to take third at the first corner.
Lap 4: Webber tries to fight back but he is demoted to fourth for the moment.
Lap 4: Ricciardo has dropped a further place, having just been passed by Schumacher. He is 17th with Petrov 18th and Hulkenberg 19th.
Lap 5: Looking at the replays of the start, Kobayashi made another poor start. That's hampering the amazing progress Sauber has been making in recent races.
Lap 5: Grosjean is quicker than Hamilton on the last lap, and almost on the leader's pace. He is now just a second behind Hamilton's McLaren.
Lap 6: Raikkonen pays Massa back for the earlier move and elbows his way back up into seventh.
Lap 6: The Lotus's are flying at the moment and @Lotus_F1Team seems happy: "P3 now for @RGrosjean as he makes a fair dinkum pass on Webber, P8 for Kimi"
Lap 6: Grosjean is closing on Hamilton very quickly as Vettel sprints away up front.
Lap 6: Rosberg is holding a watching brief in ninth as Massa and Raikkonen continue their intense scrap. Di Resta is 10th.
Lap 7: Hamilton's pace is poor at this stage, with Grosjean now right on his tail and Webber also closing in.
Lap 7: Perez is 11th ahead of Senna 12th, Kobayashi 13th, Vergne 14th, Maldonado 15th and Schumacher unable to make any further progress in 16th.
Lap 7: Grosjean deploys DRS and, despite being made to use a dusty line by Hamilton's defence, he slingshots past the McLaren and up into second.
Lap 8: Far from defending against Schumacher, Maldonado in fact challenges Vergne going into Turn 1 to try and take 14th place.
Lap 8: Raikkonen is also making the DRS work in a Lotus, but this time goes around the outside of Button into Turn 4 without using the wing system.
Lap 8: Button complains of both massive understeer and a struggle with the rear tyres.
Lap 8: Maldonado moved to the outside of the Frenchman and was able to get the job done. He takes 14th, as Ricciardo pits from 17th.
Lap 8: Grosjean sets a strong 1m40.412s lap, closing slightly on Vettel's 4.9 second lead.
Lap 9: Ricciardo gets away but drops right down towards the rear of the field.
Lap 9: Raikkonen is now harrying Alonso.
Lap 9: McLaren is ready in the pits and Button is the man to be serviced.
Lap 9: Medium compound tyres for Button and he heads out.
Lap 10: Rosberg is also into the pits and back out ... he takes track position from Massa, who also stopped.
Lap 10: Hamilton is the next man to pit, followed in by Webber.
Lap 10: @NickHeidfeld observes: "Looks a bit to easy with drs to overtake. Probably because F1 not in Bahrain last year..."
Lap 10: Alonso is also in for a change of tyres.
Lap 10: It's another slow stop at McLaren and Hamilton resumes behind both Webber and Alonso.
Lap 11: Hamilton has resumed directly in a fight with Rosberg and Massa.
Lap 11: The order is jumbled as this first round of stops continues. Rosberg and the recovering Hamilton get involved in a hairy dice on the dirt heading to Turn 4 but they managed to avoid contact.
Lap 11: Vettel continues to lead as Grosjean heads in for a first stop.
Lap 12: @Revved_Up not happy: "They should throw the book at Rosberg for that. That's just unacceptable"
Lap 12: Raikkonen is now up to second and is yet to stop in his Lotus.
Lap 12: Di Resta is up to fourth in this phase with Kobayashi now fifth, Maldonado sixth and Webber in seventh.
Lap 12: Vettel is now in for his first stop, resuming on medium compound tyres. Raikkonen also makes a first stop.
Lap 12: Di Resta is yet to stop and takes over a temporary lead, ahead of Vettel.
Lap 12: AUTOSPORT's F1 editor @eddstrawf1 observes: "Rosberg v Schuey under investigation. Rosberg overdid the defending, no question."
Lap 13: Button is now ninth and sets the fastest lap of the race with 1m39.807s.
Lap 13: Kobayashi is now third, with the Lotus of Grosjean trying to take the pitted Lotus past the long-running Sauber.
Lap 13: Only three drivers have yet to pit - di Resta, Kobayashi and Pic.
Lap 13: Vettel is right with di Resta and restores his lead with the aid of DRS and fresh tyres.
