Lap 42: Alguersuari's pace is falling away quickly and Sutil has the gap down to 5.9s, as Heidfeld and Barrichello pit together.
Lap 41: Hamilton is hurried on by the team but responds that he is going as fast as he can.
Lap 41: Petrov pits from 14th place in the Renault and that will promote Kobayashi and Schumacher.
Lap 41: Massa is slowly closing on Hamilton as the McLaren man heads towards his final pitstop.
Lap 41: So Alguersuari drops to eighth place and is 8.2s ahead of Sutil, with Heidfeld 10th and di Resta still holding onto 11th place.
Lap 40: Rosberg can't get the job done at Turn 12 but there is ttraffic just ahead. Rosberg tries again at Turn 17 and makes it through to seventh.
Lap 40: Vettel sets the fastest lap again and seems to be happy with his rubber at this stage, getting more from the tyres as the grip improves.
Lap 40: Rosberg is now all over the back of Alguersuari and looking to make the move.
Lap 39: Rosberg has closed to within one second of Alguersuari as a battle shapes up for seventh.
Lap 39: Hamilton is now over 25s off the lead but is holding off Massa and Button as he nurses the McLaren through the final laps of his softs.
Lap 38: Little change in the top three gaps as the teams make plans for the move to harder rubber.
Lap 38: There are no immediate battles for position outside the top three at the moment. The closest gap is 1.5s between Barrichello and Buemi for 12th.
Lap 37: With increased track temperature and grip levels, however, the medium should perform a bit better this afternoon.
Lap 37: Hamilton will be looking to take on the set of medium compound tyres soon, but the team did struggle to find pace on that tyre on Friday.
Lap 37: His team-mate Kovalainen takes over 19th and Trulli rejoins 20th, with Glock, D'Ambrosio, Liuzzi and Karthikeyan bringing up the rear.
Lap 36: Having taken pace out of the rubber earlier, Hamilton is again struggling for pace towards the end of his stint on soft rubber.
Lap 36: Schumacher is 17th with Maldonado 18th and Trulli pits the Lotus from 19th.
Lap 36: Vettel is edging away from Webber up front with the gap now 2.1 seconds.
Lap 36: Petrov is 14th in the second Renault, with Perez 15th and Kobayashi rejoined after his stop in 16th place.
Lap 35: Heidfeld is 10th with di Resta just under three seconds back in 11th, Barrichello 12th and Buemi 13th.
Lap 35: Alguersuari is seventh for Toro Rosso, but expected to pit soon. Rosberg is just under three seconds behind him in eighth, with Sutil ninth.
Lap 35: Hamilton will have to pit earlier to begin his final stint on hard rubber but that delay of Massa has given him some time to work with.
Lap 34: Ferrari mechanics are investigating a problem with the left rear wheel gun and nut, which caused that slow stop for Massa.
Lap 33: Button tells his McLaren team that the KERS is not working on his MP4-26.
Lap 33: Alguersuari is in a temporary seventh place, having only made one stop so far this afternoon.
Lap 33: Vettel sets the fastest lap and leads by 1.8 seconds over team-mate Webber. Alonso is a further 1.7 seconds behind in third.
Lap 33: It's another quick stop for Mercedes and Schumacher rolls back onto the racetrack.
Lap 33: Button is also on the soft rubber, meaning everyone up front is set for a three-stop plan this afternoon.
Lap 33: But Schumacher pits to end that fight before it can ever begin.
Lap 33: Schumacher is continuing his slow climb back through the field. He is up to 15th. His next target is the exciting Kobayashi, just 1.6s ahead.
Lap 32: Massa has a slow stop and resumes just ahead of Button.
Lap 32: Karthikeyan is also into the pits but he is at the foot of the classification.
Lap 32: Massa pits as Alonso just avoids a tight squeeze with a lapped Lotus.
Lap 32: Massa is yet to pit and Webber breezes by using the advantage of DRS and fresh rubber.
Lap 32: Rosberg has also been in the pits during that flurry of activity.
Lap 32: Alguersuari has only made one stop so far, but posts his quickest lap of the race so far with 1m44.346s.
Lap 31: Di Resta and Force India turns the tables on Barrichello and regains the track position they lost at the first round of stops. Di Resta is now 11th with Barrichello 12th.
Lap 31: Button is in this time as well, while Vettel resumes still in the lead.
Lap 31: So with the second round of stops, Alguersuari is up to eighth with Sutil ninth and Heidfeld 10th.
