Lap 4: Hulkenberg was unhurt in the crash and he is walking back to the pits. Further replays show the lightning fast reaction of the digi-flag system.

The yellow light was flashing well before the Williams had come to a halt.
Lap 3: Button walks disconsolately back to the pits after that costly retirement.
Lap 3: The ACM marshals are slowly removing the Williams of Hulkenberg by wheeling it down the hill to the chicane on two trolleys.
Lap 3: The championship leader pulls to a halt on the run out of Ste Devote with smoke from what looks like an overheating McLaren.
Lap 3: Bruno Senna has been into the pits and he rejoins following a change of tyres.
Lap 3: Replays show it was a great start for the Red Bull pair and Vettel easily crowded out Kubica into the first corner.
Lap 3: If he can get the hard tyre to last for 77 laps, then Alonso can run to the finish as he bids to get into the points.
Lap 2: Up front, the order is Webber from Vettel, Kubica, Massa, Hamilton, Barrichello, Schumacher and Rosberg.
Lap 2: Replays show that Hulkenberg was wide in the apex of the tunnel and was in the dust on the outside. He was quickly sucked into the barriers.
Lap 2: Fernando Alonso is straight into the pits at the end of the first lap to get rid of those soft tyres. He takes on the hard compound and rejoins at the back.
Lap 2: Hulkenberg has crashed heavily at the exit of the tunnel and the Williams is badly damaged.
Lap 1: Nico Hulkenberg dropped to the back of the field just prior to the tsrat and he runs at the rear.
Lap 1: Down to the harbour for the first time it is Webber from Vettel, Kubica, Massa and Hamilton.
Lap 1: Webber does the job and leads into Turn 1 and Vettel is through into second as Kubica is crowded at the start.
Lap 1: The five red lights go out and we are racing in Monaco!
Webber slots into the pole position and the field is very quickly forming up behind him. Alonso will start the race on soft tyres.

Standby for action ...
Round the Rascasse cafe and this is a quick formation lap pace set by the Australian.
Fernando Alonso will start from the pitlane this afternoon and the Ferrari guys have him almost ready to go.
No problems on the grid and all 23 cars are away for the final lap before the start of the race.
The formation lap begins at Monte Carlo and Mark Webber moves away with the field in tow behind him.
The track temperature is 38 Celsius with a warm 22 degree ambient.
Despite some dark clouds moving closer, official forecasters Meteo France tell the teams no rain is expected in the next 30 minutes
There are five minutes to go until the formation lap begins in Monaco.
Sebastian Vettel is already snugly fit in his Red Bull, as the mechanics strap him up ready for action. The German will have a ringside view of the fight for Turn 1 between Webber and Kubica.
Robert Kubica is getting comfortable in his Renault ahead of a race in which he could play a significant part.
Polesitter Mark Webber has put his balaclava, HANS device and helmet back on, as he gets ready to climb aboard the RB6 for what he hopes is the greatest race in his Formula 1 career.
Conditions overhead are slightly cloudier now, but no rain is expected any time soon.
Down on the grid, the mechanics are milling around the cars as final preparations continue.
Ross Brawn tells German TV that the Mercedes team is working on some radio issues with Michael Schumacher's car. "This is the worst place it could happen," said Brawn.
The pits are now closed. Any car not on the grid by now will be required to start the 78-lap race from the pitlane.

Fernando Alonso is already there, as the Ferrari mechanics make final preparations to his F10 ahead of a tortuous afternoon.
Sebastian Vettel chats with Red Bull team principal Christian Horner on the long race ahead.
The fans and the royal family rise in respect to the Monaco national anthem, as it rings out over the principality.
Alonso looks relaxed as he awaits his pitlane start, telling German TV reporters that it will be 'impossible' to get into the points unless there is a lot of attrition.
The grid is rapidly filling with engineers, mechanics and celebrities as Vettel's Red Bull is pushed to third place.
The majority of the field does indeed pile into the pits, while polesitter Webber heads to the grid and is pushed to the front.
Quite a few of the drivers will plan a run through the pits before another lap to further feel out grip levels this afternoon.
