Mitch Guthrie headed a Ford supremacy in the fifth stage of the 2026 Dakar Rally, but Toyota’s Henk Lategan still holds the overall lead.
At the end of the first marathon stage the overall top five is split by under nine minutes, with Lategan holding on to the lead by 3m17s from Dacia’s Nasser Al-Attiyah.
But it was Ford’s day to celebrate with a 1-2-3 led by Guthrie from Nani Roma and MD Sports’ Martin Prokop in the customer Raptor.
