Weekend review and results round-up

Singapore didn't quite witness a world championship celebration, but the inevitable moved significantly closer as Sebastian Vettel's latest commanding win left him needing just one point from the final five races to seal the crown

In the dominant Vettel's wake, Lewis Hamilton's and Felipe Massa's collision - which followed another spat on Saturday - prompted some furious post-race exchanges. Hamilton was penalised for the on-track clash, while Michael Schumacher also faced official censure, in his case a reprimand, for using Sergio Perez's Sauber as a launchpad.

The unique combination of a city-street location and night-race timetable structure led to two unusual news stories dominating early gossip, as problems with loose kerbs delayed Friday practice, and the vagaries of the curfew rules caught out several teams during the weekend, though all bar Toro Rosso had their curfew-extension allowances returned.
