Recoveries from the end of the pits are usually quite swift, and that has been the case this time. We should be back to green shortly.
And we're back to green flags at the end of the pits.
"The car stopped," is Sainz's insightful summary, as he makes the short walk back to the McLaren garage. "I was just doing a practice start. Up until now it's been a smooth day, we haven't had any complications until now."
Vettel and Hamilton are the only drivers on track at the moment.
Hamilton climbs up the order slightly with a 1m21.088s on C2 tyres. He's now eighth.
Raikkonen heads out, as does Ricciardo, for his first proper testing lap as a Renault driver.
Verstappen joins the action as well, so we have six cars on track now.
Updated lap counts with more than an hour of the afternoon session down:

Vettel - 101
Bottas - 69
Hulkenberg - 65
Sainz - 58
Verstappen - 57
Raikkonen - 56
Kvyat - 35
Perez - 25
Grosjean - 18
Hamilton - 12
Ricciardo - 1
Raikkonen goes second with a 1m19.483s on C3 tyres - everyone else on track at the moment is using the slightly harder C2s.
Ricciardo's first lap of the day is a 1m22.923s, so he's at the bottom of the times to start with. Hamilton also improves, moving up to seventh with a 1m20.521s.
Ricciardo improves next time around, but he's still at the bottom of the times. 'Renault must be wondering what they spent all that money on...' etc. We kid.
Here's the current order, which is also available in the timing box to the right of the feed:

1 Vettel (Ferrari) 1m18.161s
2 Raikkonen (Alfa Romeo) 1m19.483s
3 Verstappen (Red Bull) 1m19.600s
4 Perez (Racing Point) 1m19.944s
5 Bottas (Mercedes) 1m20.127s
6 Sainz (McLaren) 1m20.430s
7 Hamilton (Mercedes) 1m20.521s
8 Hulkenberg (Renault)1m20.980s
9 Grosjean (Haas) 1m21.500s
10 Kvyat (Toro Rosso) 1m21.732s
11 Ricciardo (Renault) 1m22.637s
Ricciardo sets another quicker lap, this one a 1m21.769s, while Raikkonen's promising sector times fail to deliver another improvement.
And the Australian improves again. This time it's a 1m21.659s for Ricciardo.
Hamilton is setting personal best sectors on his way to the line, and may improver here.
There's no improvement for Hamilton despite much promise from the timing screens.

Hamilton, Ricciardo, Verstappen, Raikkonen and Vettel are the drivers out on track.
Just as we type that, Vettel and Ricciardo pit leaving Hamilton, Verstappen and Raikkonen.
And Hamilton improves. That's a 1m20.440s for the reigning champ. He's less than three tenths behind Bottas's best time of the morning.
No other driver has lapped over 70 times today, apart from Vettel, who now has 107 under his belt and counting in the Ferrari.
Vettel has joined the pit brigade now, leaving Verstappen and Raikkonen on track. The latter heads the former in terms of times.
Raikkonen is on his second installment of impressive longer runs in his Alfa Romeo this afternoon, stuck just over the 1m21s mark, but with consistency.
Hamilton gets very close to his best time, lapping a 1m20.521s compared to his best of 1m20.440s. He'll likely be furious he is that close.
Hamilton pits now, replaced by Vettel who heads out on track to add to his 107 lap count.
Currently last in the order, Daniil Kvyat and his Toro Rosso head out on track. Ricciardo follows him out, while Vettel pops into the pits and then out again.
Ricciardo completed seven laps on his first run of the afternoon for Renault

That's a 1m20.546s for Kvyat, which boosts him ahead of Hulkenberg, Grosjean and Ricciardo in the order. That's much better, after a disappointing morning where the squad was last on times.
Sainz reported he lost drive at the end of the pitlane. McLaren is investigating the problem now.
Racing dot driver Perez has zoomed out of his garage and onto the track. He'll be joining Kvyat, Ricciardo, Verstappen and Vettel.
Kvyat is really flying now. Straight out of nowhere, he jumps into fourth on the timing screens with a 1m19.901s. The lapcount is coming up to, now 40.
This is a really lengthy longrun from Verstappen. The team had a slow start this morning but have turned that around with some long stints. He now has 76 laps on the car, which is more than anyone other than Vettel.
Here's a latest lap count, an hour and a half into the afternoon session:

Vettel - 113
Verstappen - 76
Bottas - 69
Hulkenberg - 65
Raikkonen - 65
Sainz - 58
Kvyat - 41
Perez - 27
Hamilton - 25
Grosjean - 18
Ricciardo - 12
Verstappen pits his Red Bull after that aforementioned stint, while Grosjean joins to put some more laps on the Haas.

It ground to a halt on track this morning with a fuel pressure issue.
And here's what the order - available in the timing box on the right of the feed - looks like right now:

1 Vettel (Ferrari) 1m18.161s
2 Raikkonen (Alfa Romeo) 1m19.483s
3 Verstappen (Red Bull) 1m19.600s
4 Kvyat (Toro Rosso) 1m19.901s
5 Perez (Racing Point) 1m19.944s
6 Bottas (Mercedes) 1m20.127s
7 Sainz (McLaren) 1m20.430s
8 Hamilton (Mercedes) 1m20.440s
9 Hulkenberg (Renault)1m20.980s
10 Grosjean (Haas) 1m21.500s
11 Ricciardo (Renault) 1m21.659s
Our second-placed driver in the order, Kimi Raikkonen, is back out on track for Alfa Romeo. Ricciardo has pitted from a decent stint.
Raikkonen joins the track now, as Ricciardo replaces him in the pits after a decent stint.
Perez has pitted his Racing dot. That leaves Grosjean, Kvyat, Vettel and Raikkonen on circuit.
Sainz has rejoined after losing drive at the exit of the pitlane earlier in the afternoon.
It didn't take Grosjean long to rekindle his mojo. He steers the Haas to a 1m20.946s, ninth overall.
Ferrari hasn't had too much need to roll out the screens today. Vettel's lap tally is up to 118 and still climbing
