FR3.5 - Hungaroring: The action kicked off at a damp and gloomy Hungaroring with an un-timed shakedown session for the FR3.5 field following a change of brake specification over night.

Read more on the changes, which were made "on the grounds of safety" by clicking here.
MotoGP - Misano: MotoGP's first dry practice session of the weekend is just over a quarter of an hour away.

Moto3 practice three is on now but it's just been red-flagged after a massive crash for Valentino Rossi's protege for Romano Fenati.

The young Italian is fine, but his bike is utterly destroyed after he put his back wheel on the damp grass at the final corner.

With a fair amount of dirt and debris on the track, the session has been stopped to get things cleared up.

Quite an eventful few weeks for Rossi's VR46 team, with Fenati sliding out of title contention and then a dramatic split with team chief Vito Guareschi.
Formula E - Beijing: Nicolas Prost is our poleman for the first race in Formula E history on the streets of Beijing.

Here's how qualifying unfolded a few hours ago:

Beijing Formula E qualifying report
Formula E - Beijing: The results of the slightly divisive Fan Boost system vote are in for Beijing, and the drivers who get the extra 30kw boost for five seconds are Bruno Senna, Lucas di Grassi and Katherine Legge.
Formula E - Beijing: Franck Montagny has been given a three-place grid drop for a pitlane infringement.

That drops him from fifth to eighth, and elevates Nick Heidfeld, Jaime Alguersuari and Charles Pic.
Formula E - Beijing: Ten minutes until the start in Beijing, which seems a good amount of time for you to do some last-minute revision.

MARCUS SIMMONS has compiled the definitive guide to everything you need to know about Formula E:

Formula E: The 20 key facts

And if you read fast, you can also get in EDD STRAW's column on why the success - or failure - of today's race has to be kept in perspective:

Formula E is not green racing on trial
Formula E - Beijing: Ho-Pin Tung and Michela Cerruti have also been given grid place penalties for gearbox changes.

They therefore end up behind Bruno Senna on the grid but ahead of Sebastien Buemi, Stephane Sarrazin and Jarno Trulli, who have also needed new gearboxes after incidents in practice and qualifying.
MotoGP - Misano: Now Fenati's stricken bike is cleared, it's time to get FP3 under way here at a sunny Misano.

It will be the riders' first real dry running of the weekend after yesterday's soggy conditions, and predictably there are plenty of riders hitting the track to begin racking up the laps.
MotoGP - Misano: The riders complete their opening laps, and it's Valentino Rossi who sets the early benchmark with a 1m37.946s - a whole 12 seconds quicker than Andrea Dovizioso's best effort in the wet yesterday.
MotoGP - Misano: Rossi knocks nine tenths off his opening time on his second tour, but he's knocked off the top spot by Bradley Smith's Tech 3 Yamaha, who raises the bar to a 1m36.979s.
Formula E - Beijing: The grid has been cleared and the formation lap is about to begin.

Emerson Fittipaldi is among the big names who have been down there during the build-up.

The grandstand tickets sold out as of Monday - mind you, there were only 8000 of them.

The crowd will be bigger than that, though. Entrance to the olympic park is free so there will be others craning their necks for a view over the barriers.
MotoGP - Misano: Now it's runaway championship leader Marc Marquez's turn to ascend to the top of the timesheets, the Spaniard setting a 1m35.712s.

Marquez has the chance to equal another record this weekend at Misano should he take his 12th win of the season, as he would equal Mick Doohan's tally of wins from the 1997 season.
MotoGP - Misano: Stefan Bradl has just gone second quickest, half a tenth shy of Marquez, with Jorge Lorenzo a further tenth back in third.
Formula E - Beijing: After a... steady... formation lap, the 19 cars on the grid are coming around to take the start. Tung has to start from the pits for his home race.
MotoGP - Misano: Marquez improves again to a 1m35.524s, but Lorenzo deposes his compatriot at the top of the timesheets with a 1m35.333s. Bradl also beats Marquez's time to slot back into second.
MotoGP - Misano: The top three are all in the pits now. Pedrosa currently sits in fourth, ahead of Iannone, Rossi, surprise FP1 pacesetter Hernandez and Smith.
Formula E - Beijing: Prost holds the lead at the start of Formula E's first race, ahead of the two Abt cars.

Further back, the two Andretti cars bang wheels and Pic has a brush with the wheel, but they both continue.
Formula E - Beijing: Trulli looks like he's out already, being pushed off the grid, and Senna has come to a halt on lap one too.

Tung is still in the pits struggling to get going.
Formula E - Beijing: After lap one, Prost leads from di Grassi, Abt, Heidfeld, Chandhok and Alguersuari.
Formula E - Beijing: The safety car is out while Senna's stranded Mahindra car is cleared away.

Fair amount of damage to the left-front of that machine. It was a pretty forceful first lap in the midfield.
MotoGP - Misano: The track is looking rather empty now after that initial flurry of activity.

These times will determine who gets an automatic bye into the second part of qualifying later today, and among those currently missing out are Dovizioso and both of the Espargaro brothers - although Pol is now on track looking to rectify that.
MotoGP - Misano: Both Espargaros have now hauled themselves into the top 10 at the expense of Cal Crutchlow and Alvaro Bautista.

Most riders have now rejoined the track, so expect Lorenzo's benchmark to be toppled sooner rather than later.
Sebastien Ogier

Sebastien Ogier

WRC - Australia: Day two of Rally Australia is going to conclude with two more runs of the sperspecial in a quarter of an hour.

It's been an intriguing rally so far, but it looks like Sebastien Ogier might now be making something of a break.

He led early on Friday, lost the lead to Kris Meeke, claimed it back again, lost it to Jari-Matti Latvala this morning, but then chose the right tyres when it didn't rain this afternoon (contrary to everyone's expectations) and now lead by 10 seconds.

Here's the latest round-up of the action:

Rally Australia Saturday pm report
MotoGP - Misano: Sure enough, Marquez takes out another three tenths from Lorenzo's time, setting a 1m35.004s to return to P1.

Meanwhile, Dovizioso is now up to ninth, meaning Aleix Espargaro has more work to do if he wants to avoid Q1.
Formula E - Beijing: Still under the safety car, but at least it's the momentous First Safety Car in the History of Formula E so we can all appreciate the significance.
Formula E - Beijing: Good news, time for The First Restart in the History of Formula E now.
MotoGP - Misano: Now it's Pedrosa's turn to go quickest, besting his Repsol Honda team-mate's time by two tenths with a 1m34.789s.
Formula E - Beijing: Back under way with 21 laps left, Prost has no hassle holding the lead.

Tung has rejoined several laps down in the middle of the pack and is now trying to get out of everyone's way.
MotoGP - Misano: Crutchlow gets himself into 10th place as Marquez shaves three thousandths off Pedrosa's time to get back in the top spot.
Formula E - Beijing: Racey stuff from Montagny, who dives inside Alguersuari for sixth with his brakes locked. Alguersuari's Virgin team-mate Sam Bird then follows Montagny through on the exit.

Prost continues to lead from di Grassi and Abt.
MotoGP - Misano: 15 minutes remain in the session, and as things stand here are the riders getting straight through to Q2:

Marquez, Pedrosa, Rossi, Lorenzo, Bradl, P Espargaro, Dovizioso, Iannone, Smith, Crutchlow.
Formula E - Beijing: Problems for the second e.dams car of Sebastien Buemi, which has shed some rear bodywork and has a collapsing rear wing.

Buemi had flown in testing and was an early favourite, but he's had a horrible day so far.
Kris Meeke

Kris Meeke

WRC - Australia: Kris Meeke wanted to make an adjustment to the roll bar on his Citroen ahead of the superspecial tonight - unfortunately the Northern Irishman ran out of time.

AUTOSPORT was standing by ready to help, but fortunately for Meeke, regulations regarding outside assistance precluded us from getting our hands dirty.
MotoGP - Misano: Rossi has improved, coming within a tenth of Marquez's time but remaining third - that will be encouraging for the factory Yamaha team as it seeks its first win of the year.

Aleix Espargaro meanwhile deposes Crutchlow for the 10th and final automatic Q2 berth.
FR3.5 - Hungaroring: An early stoppage in FR3.5 qualifying in Hungary as Sergey Sirotkin stalls his car trying to rejoin from a spin at Turn 3.

Track conditions are very tricky out there. The racing line is mainly dry, but there are some damp patches out there which are making things very slippery.

We also caught a glimpse of Will Buller's car off the track at what looked like Turn 2.

With only a handful of laps in the bag, the order at the front under this stoppage is Rowland; Merhi; Nato; Mavlanov; Stevens; Sainz.
FR3.5 - Hungaroring: Sirtokin's car is already on a flatbed truck, and the session will restart in two minutes.
MotoGP - Misano: The elder Espargaro brother leaps up to fourth, three tenths shy of Marquez, leaving Iannone on the bubble with nine minutes remaining.
Formula E - Beijing: Approaching half-distance, Prost continues to lead di Grassi by just under a second, with Abt right behind his team-mate.

This trio have broken away from the rest of the pack.
