Double R joins F3 Euro Series for Brands Hatch round

Anthony Hieatt's team is using the event, plus the following round at Spielberg, to allow its drivers to gain experience of the Hankook rubber that will be used at the Norisring event in July, when both the British championship and Euro Series run together for the first time.

"We've never done a Euro Series round before so we're really looking forward to giving Geoff and Fahmi some extra time in the car, especially as it's our home track," said Hieatt, "The team always likes racing at Brands and the mileage will be good for both drivers, their deals were done very late so an extra race meeting can only be good for them.

"Having some experience on the Hankook tyres will be good too, we'll be using them when we visit the Norisring in British F3 so getting a good understanding of how they work will be useful. We've also decided to do the F3 Euro Series round at the Red Bull Ring at the start of June too, so we've got a busy few weeks ahead."

Fellow British squad Carlin will also increase its car count for Brands. Joining Euro Series regulars Carlos Sainz Jr and Will Buller will be British F3 regulars Jazeman Jaafar and Harry Tincknell.
