Wittmann takes pole at Hockenheim
Marco Wittmann snatched a late pole position for the first F3 Euro Series race at Hockenheim
The Signature driver was part of a flurry of improvements late in the session which pushed early pace setter Valtteri Bottas down to fifth spot.
Wittmann's lap was just less than half a tenth quicker than Daniel Juncadella's, meaning the two will share the front row ahead of Edoardo Mortara, who was briefly fastest with two minutes to go.
Mortara will be joined on row two by his Signature team-mate Laurens Vanthoor, with ART team-mates Bottas and Alexander Sims fifth and sixth.
Adrian Quaife-Hobbs, Roberto Merhi, Carlos Munoz and Antonio Felix da Costa completed the top 10, with ART's Esteban Gutierrez only 11th.
