Razia joins Barwa Addax for Asia
Barwa Addax has completed its GP2 Asia Series line-up by signing Luiz Razia to partner Britain's Max Chilton
The 20-year-old Brazilian is looking forward to the challenge of the season opener at Abu Dhabi's new Yas Marinas circuit.
"I'm happy with the decision to join forces with the team Barwa Addax for the Asia Series, and especially for Abu Dhabi, as it looks a like a challenging circuit," said Razia.
"This shows me that they trust in my abilities and should get in position to fight for race wins and ultimately, for the title."
Razia won the Monza sprint race on his way to 19th in this year's main series with Coloni, and also took a victory in the last Asia series at Sakhir with the Arden squad. Team boss Alejandro Agag said that he expects Razia to challenge for the title.
"There is little one can say about Luiz as nearly everyone is aware of the talent of this driver based on his recent performances," he said.
"We are convinced that this Asia Series could be very important for both driver and team. If we take into account his progress in recent events we expect to be fighting for the championship."
