Grosjean wins in Bahrain with ease
Romain Grosjean moved a step closer to wrapping up the inaugural GP2 Asia championship with a comfortable win in the feature race at Bahrain
Grosjean made a mess of his start from pole, but he fought back courtesy of an early safety car period and a strong move on Adrian Valles to win by almost 15 seconds.
Sebastien Buemi drove a strong race for Arden to claim second, fighting off DAMS's Kamui Kobayashi and Valles.
Bruno Senna lost out as he was stacked behind teammate Karun Chandhok when the vast majority of the cars pitted on lap 2 under the safety car. But he fought back to take fourth off Valles in the closing stages.
Front-row starter Chandhok led the opening lap, but dropped back following a slow pitstop and fell right to the tail of the field when he spun behind the safety car on cold tyres. But he worked his way back to eighth to claim pole for tomorrow's sprint race.
He'll be joined on the front row by Diego Nunes, who earned two points for DPR after an entertaining duel with Davide Valsecchi that was settled in the Durango driver's favour on the last lap.
Grosjean can wrap the title up tomorrow with a top-three finish.
