Frentzen in Aston frame for 24 Hours

 Former Formula One driver Heinz-Harald Frentzen is in the frame to race in the Le Mans 24 Hours this year after testing an Aston Martin Racing DBR9 at Paul Ricard.
The three-time Grand Prix winner has been out of racing since retiring from the DTM at the end of 2006, but was one of seven drivers tested by the factory squad in France this week.
"I've not driven any sort of racing car for one and a half years, so this was a great opportunity for me to get back into action," the German said. "I've definitely got a taste for it now.
"I really enjoyed the experience and actually found the DBR9 very easy to drive. It was good fun to get behind the wheel of a proper GT car."
Frentzen tested alongside Aston newcomers Robbie Kerr and Ryan Dalziel, as well as experienced sportscar campaigners Karl Wendlinger, Darren Turner, Antonio Garcia, and Andrea Piccini.
Should he get the seat, this will be Frentzen's first entry to the Le Mans 24 Hours since his only appearance in the race, in 1992.
AMR need to find three new drivers for Le Mans this year with Tomas Enge, Peter Kox, and Rickard Rydell all having clashing commitments, but team principal George Howard-Chappell refused to be drawn on whether Frentzen would be drafted in.
"We will not be talking about our line-up for Le Mans until all six drivers are in place," he said.
