Former Le Mans 24 Hours winner Guy Smith will return to the event this year, racing an LMP2 Lola.
Smith was part of Bentley's Le Mans victory in 2003 and he also finished second on his last appearance with Audi three years ago.
He will share Portuguese team ASM's AER-engined Lola B05/40 with Frenchman Olivier Pla and Portuguese Miguel Paes do Amaral.
"You have to drive a diesel to win Le Mans outright these days," said Smith, "so the next best thing is to bid for class honours and I have a great opportunity to win the LMP2 class.
"The Lola AER package is proven in the class and the ASM team run a first class operation, so all the ingredients for success are in place.
"I'm fortunate to have finished first and second at Le Mans before, and I intend to be back on the top step of the podium on my return this year."
Smith will also race in the American Le Mans Series this year and kicks off his season with the Dyson Porsche team in the Sebring 12 Hours on March 15.
