Liuzzi's eighth place under investigation
Vitantonio Liuzzi's eighth-placed finish in the Japanese Grand Prix is currently under investigation as the race stewards look into whether or not the Italian overtook under yellow flags
The Scuderia Toro Rosso driver was battling with Adrian Sutil for what was eventually eighth place when he overtook the German shortly after the yellow flags were waved for Anthony Davidson's stranded Super Aguri on the start-finish straight.
It is understood the stewards are looking into the matter now, to work out if Liuzzi's move had taken place before the green flags at the first corner.
Liuzzi was adamant, however, that he had done nothing wrong.
"I know the incident you mean," he told autosport.com when asked about what happened.
"I overtook Adrian out of corner one because the visibility was really bad, and I was thinking about overtaking on the straight because he was slower but then as crossed the start-finish line I saw the yellow flag and I backed off.
"I then passed him after the first corner when there were green flags. The stewards are looking into it, but I didn't overtook him under yellows so I am sure that nothing will happen."
