Speed critical of 'unsafe' Webber

Toro Rosso driver Speed ran into the back of Webber's Red Bull after the Australian seemed to brake test him out of Turn 8 during the final minutes of the afternoon session.

Webber said after practice that Speed "probably had his iPod going" during the incident.

"On the lap before, I let Mark by down the inside of the hairpin and he missed the corner and then we came and passed the chequered flag and for the rest of that lap he was very close to my rear," Speed told reporters after practice.

"So going into Turn Eight I lifted and let him go around me and after he passed me, as we were accelerating out of the corner he just braked in the middle of the corner and I ran into the back of him.

"The stewards will look into it - their our sister team so we're not going to push it. But it's their decision - and I definitely think it's not very safe and not very professional but it's not my place to judge."

Speed talked with Webber after practice and said there were no hard feelings between them, but the American made it clear he thought the Australian was in the wrong.

"Somehow he didn't think he was wrong," Speed added. "I don't know what he was doing - something like that, I've not witnessed since I was in go-karts. Brake testing a Formula One car - that's a new one for me!

"At the end of the day, we're a small team so we don't have a bunch of new noses and new parts to throw on the car. It's definitely gonna change our programme - and that's a shame considering what it was."
