Vandoorne and Ocon get McLaren and Mercedes Barcelona F1 test days

Stoffel Vandoorne will return to the cockpit of McLaren's MP4-31 during the first of this year's two in-season Formula 1 tests, with Esteban Ocon to get his first taste of the Mercedes W07

Reserve driver Vandoorne made his F1 debut in the Bahrain Grand Prix in April, deputising for the injured Fernando Alonso and finishing the race in 10th place.

The reigning GP2 champion has since recorded a podium finish in his maiden Super Formula round at Suzuka.

Vandoorne will drive on the Wednesday of the two-day test at Barcelona's Circuit de Catalunya, after Jenson Button kickstarts the test for McLaren on Tuesday.

A Mercedes junior, Ocon is racing for the German manufacturer in the DTM alongside his role as Renault's F1 reserve.

After driving for Renault on Tuesday, he will switch to Mercedes - represented by Nico Rosberg on the opening day - on Wednesday.

Haas has confirmed to Autosport its line-up, with race drivers Romain Grosjean and Esteban Gutierrez in the car on Tuesday and Wednesday respectively.

Sauber is the only team not taking part due to the fact it will not be introducing any updates for this weekend's Spanish GP, and it has no young or test driver in place.
