Thruxton BTCC: Tom Ingram quickest in practice for Speedworks
Tom Ingram set the fastest time throughout the two free practice sessions for this weekend's British touring Car Championship round at Thruxton
Ingram took his Speedworks Toyota Avensis around the 2.36-mile circuit in 1m16.542s.
He headed Andrew Jordan, who had topped the times in the opening session in his Motorbase Performance Ford Focus, by half a second.
Neither Ingram or Jordan are carrying success ballast into qualifying or the opening race of the weekend.
Teenager Aiden Moffat was third in the Ciceley Racing Mercedes-Benz A-Class ahead of Jack Goff's WSR BMW 125i M Sport and Ash Sutton's Triple Eight Racing MG6.
Adam Morgan recovered from an off in the opening session to record the sixth best time in free practice two in the Ciceley Racing Mercedes-Benz A-Class.
He headed Aron Smith's Team BKR VW CC and Rob Austin's Handy Motorsport Toyota Avensis.
Championship leader Matt Neal was 11th in the opening session and 20th in the second, while team-mate and champion Gordon Shedden placed his factory Honda in 12th in session one, then 18th in session two.
