Formula 1 2016: Team launch dates ahead of pre-season testing

Force India has become the latest Formula 1 team to finalise its launch plans ahead of what will be a busy Monday morning prior to the start of pre-season testing

The Silverstone-based outfit will pull the covers off the VJM09 in the Barcelona pitlane 30 minutes before testing begins at 8am UK time.

Several teams have chosen to avoid a proper launch in favour of using the extra time to perfect their designs.

Newcomer Haas has confirmed it will also unveil its debut machine with a presentation on Monday morning.

Manor and Red Bull are expected to do a simple roll-out, however the latter will launch its livery on Wednesday evening.

Autosport will have a live text commentary of the Red Bull livery launch from 5pm UK time.

Ferrari will reveal its 2016 project online on Friday and McLaren will follow suit on Sunday morning.

Mercedes and Williams have yet to announce their plans.

Sauber's 2016 challenger will not break cover until the second test, but its new colour scheme is expected to be unveiled on last year's car at next week's test.

Because of the late decision to switch to Ferrari power, Toro Rosso will not showcase its 2016 livery until February 29, the day before the second test.

However, the new car is expected to be ready to make its debut on Monday, running in plain blue colours.

Renault launched its 2016 campaign in Paris with an old show car at the beginning of the month.

Its technical director Nick Chester told Autosport the team is on course to have the RS16 ready for its debut at the first test.
