Rosenqvist: Helping Prema Euro F3 team-mates in finale 'fine by me'

Formula 3 European champion Felix Rosenqvist says his biggest job this weekend at Hockenheim is to help his fellow Prema Powerteam drivers

Rosenqvist, who wrapped up the title last time out at the Nurburgring, moved aside for team-mate Lance Stroll to win the first race, and later offered little resistance to Jake Dennis, who is embroiled in a fight for second in the championship.

Race one report: Stroll gets first win with help from Rosenqvist

"This whole weekend has been a little bit strange," said the Swede.

"It feels like you're at a test - you feel relaxed all the time.

"I'm used to feeling a lot of pressure, being in a championship fight and having to prove you deserve a drive for next year."

Talking about the first-lap pass by Stroll, Rosenqvist said: "Lance had a good exit from the hairpin and there was no point me making a mistake when we had a team 1-2-3-4.

"You always have to show you're quick, but today was more about helping the others and that's fine by me."

Dennis added: "Lance drove extremely well. You could tell he was a little bit nervous on the first five laps because he was making a few mistakes, and I said on the radio he just had to calm down."

Stroll, whose father Lawrence has invested significantly in the Prema team, said: "I'm just extremely happy it all worked out - also maximising points in race one was extremely important because second qualifying was not fantastic.

"We're happy with one win, but we're looking for more next year and we have to make sure we perform."
