Zeta Corse set to miss Formula Renault 3.5 opener at Aragon
Race-winning Formula Renault 3.5 team Zeta Corse is set to miss this weekend's opening round at Aragon
The Russian-owned, Valencia-based, team ran current Manor Formula 1 driver Roberto Merhi during his FR3.5 title bid last year.
Despite Merhi taking three victories as he challenged DAMS driver Carlos Sainz Jr for the crown, Zeta Corse has been unable to secure two fully funded drivers for the 2015 season.
A source close to the team told AUTOSPORT that Zeta is working to return the championship from the Monaco round on May 24 onwards.
Zeta had announced that 2013 GP3 runner-up Facu Regalia would race for it in '15, and it fielded both the Argentinean and GP2 race winner Johnny Cecotto Jr in pre-season testing.
Following the breakdown of his deal with Zeta, Regalia has been linked to a possible move to Norfolk team Comtec for the Aragon round.
Comtec, which has yet to announce drivers for either of its seats ahead of the season, has been unavailable for comment.
