Bryant-Meisner joins Fortec for final European Formula 3 rounds

John Bryant-Meisner will drive for Fortec Motorsport in the final two rounds of the Formula 3 European Championship

The 18-year-old Swede will race at Vallelunga and Hockenheim in October once his main programme for the year - the German F3 Cup with Performance Racing - has come to an end.

He lies fifth in the German points and also won twice in the British championship at Silverstone in a guest outing.

"Joining Fortec Motorsports for the final two rounds of the Formula 3 European Championship marks a fantastic opportunity for me," said Bryant-Meisner, who will test for the team at Hockenheim this week.

"The series is extremely competitive - I'm well aware of that - and this will undoubtedly be the greatest challenge of my career so far.

"But I have learned a lot with Performance Racing in the German F3 Cup this year, so hopefully I'll be able to do a solid job.

"I want to continue to gain as much experience as possible, and this puts me in a great position to do so. I'm really looking forward to driving the F312 chassis and to compete against the fastest drivers in Formula 3."

Fortec has also run the now-retired Josh Hill and Will Buller in the European championship at various points this year.

It confirmed recently that Mexican Alfonso Celis, a member of its Formula Renault NEC team, will race at both the Zandvoort and Hockenheim European F3 rounds.
