Will Buller gets T-Sport European Formula 3 seat

Formula 3 race winner Will Buller has switched to T-Sport to contest the F3 European Championship, his fourth season in the category

The Northern Irishman, who won with Fortec Motorsport in British F3 in 2011 and with Carlin in the Euro Series in '12, will drive one of T-Sport's two ThreeBond Nissan-powered Dallaras.

Buller, 20, makes the move more than a year after testing with T-Sport at the tail end of 2011.

T-Sport boss Russell Eacott said: "I think Will is going to be a great asset to the team. We know he can win races so we have everything to play for in the championship.

"We tested him at Spa and Silverstone at the end of 2011 and he was tremendously quick and he impressed the engineers. We didn't quite manage to hook up a deal for 2012, so it's good to get him now."

Buller will join Australian Spike Goddard at the team, which carried Alexander Sims to a Euro Series victory on a one-off outing at the Nurburgring last year.

The Brackley-based squad, which fielded Sergio Perez to race wins in 2008, has switched from British F3 for its first full attack on a European title.

Buller added: "The combination of team, car and engine is a very strong package so I know I can go and compete at the front.

"The new European series will be very competitive, but after racing in Europe last year I know what to expect and we have every chance of bringing home some great results."

The team will benefit from assistance in the early tests from its long-time driver coach, sportscar ace and Buller's fellow Northern Irishman Jonny Kane, who won the 1997 British F3 title.
