Rene Binder keeps Lazarus GP2 seat for 2013
Rene Binder has retained his Lazarus seat for the 2013 GP2 campaign
The 21-year-old Austrian driver replaced Giancarlo Serenelli at Lazarus for the final three events of the 2012 season, dovetailing GP2 with his German Formula 3 programme.
The best result of Binder's initial GP2 experience was 13th place in race two at Monza.
Lazarus boss Tancredi Pagiaro said Binder's sensible approach had impressed him.
"I've always appreciated Rene Binder's driving style," said Pagiaro. "Starting from his debut in Spa, he drove the car without taking unnecessary risks, always listening to all our suggestions and improving day by day.
"In Barcelona and Jerez [testing] it was clear to me that Rene has the talent and the intelligence to drive a car as demanding as that of GP2."
