Pole-sitter to drive with injured shoulder
David Saelens will attempt to win from pole tomorrow nursing an injured shoulder needing pain-killing medication
"I've seen a lot of doctors and specialists and the result is quite good. The shoulder is not 100 per cent yet, but I hope with all the treatment and medication I will not feel it in the race," said Saelens
"I am quite optimistic for the race and I try not to think about it because when I do it hurts. At least this circuit is not so demanding as Barcelona."
Championship leader Bruno Junqueira starts tomorrow's race in second. He should feel optimistic, as he has finished all of the first three races in the points. But he said winning was not his primary ambition.
"I tried to push to get pole, but I had traffic. At least it is good to
start on the front row again.
"Consistency is important for me for the championship. I want to get points
in all the races. I will try to win again, but it is important to get points
to increase the gap over my rivals."
