Timo Glock and Timo Scheider join Race of Champions line-up
Virgin's Timo Glock has signed up to compete in this year's Race of Champions, teaming up with Timo Scheider to form Team Germany 2
The duo will be the second home team for the Dusseldorf event, with Michael Schumacher and Sebastian Vettel forming the first German squad.
"Only the world's best drivers are traditionally invited to the ROC Nations Cup so it's a real pleasure to belong to this group," said Glock.
"I'll also be competing with some of the Formula 1 drivers so it will be interesting to find out what happens when we battle with each other in identical vehicles.
"Apart from that, I'm looking forward to meeting my fellow drivers in a relaxed atmosphere, away from the F1 paddock. I'm sure that the event will be fun both on and off the racetrack."
Two-time DTM champion Scheider added: "I'm looking forward to joining up with Timo Glock as the second German team. It goes without saying that the team formed by two Formula 1 World Champions is regarded as the No 1 German squad.
"But that doesn't mean that we won't give our very best to defeat them. My team-mate is an incredibly fast driver and we will not only have a lot of fun together but also be competitive. I will definitely give my very best to be fast and successful in my first ROC Nations Cup."
The Race of Champions takes place on December 3.
