Marco Sorensen tops second Formula Renault 3.5 test day at Catalunya

The 21-year-old Dane, who was runner-up in this year's German F3 Championship and also won at Silverstone in a one-off Euro Series appearance, set a best time of 1m32.815s in the morning session to pip FR3.5 regular Arthur Pic's P1 car by 0.035 seconds.

Comtec driver Adrain Quaife-Hobbs completed the top three.

Tuesday pacesetter Kevin Magnussen, again testing for Carlin, was fourth in the morning and led the slower afternoon session, ahead of Pic and Sorensen.

Daniel Abt, another F3 convert, was in the top five in both sessions for Pons. The German was the quickest among those who had never raced in or tested an FR3.5 car before this week's outing.

Adrien Tambay completed 14 laps in the morning but sat out the afternoon as he was still in discomfort from his heavy qualifying crash during the season finale meeting at the track last weekend. The GP3 regular had been testing for KMP today.
