Felix Rosenqvist not dwelling on historic Masters of F3 victory
Felix Rosenqvist says he is not dwelling on his Masters of Formula 3 victory at Zandvoort last weekend and has already turned his attention to the next round of the Euro Series at Silverstone next month
Rosenqvist took advantage of a multi-car pile-up at the start of the Zandvoort race to become the first Swede to triumph at the Masters.
"Our focus shifts very quickly towards the next round of the Formula 3 Euro Series at Silverstone," said the Mucke Motorsport driver. "I'm already looking forward to getting back in the car - it feels great to have won this important race though.
Rosenqvist described the victory - Mucke's first at the Masters since 2003 - as "the sweetest of my career so far," and said that he had not expected to be in the victory fight after crashing during Saturday morning practice.
"It is fantastic to have been able to give the team this success following all the hard work they have undertaken to help get us to this level, and the car felt supreme all weekend," he added.
"Furthermore, I didn't exactly make their situation easier by a 110mph crash in Saturday practice, so I really have to thank the team for their contribution to this victory. Our race pace enabled me to open up a gap shortly after the start, and then it was all about controlling the race and taking the car home."
Rosenqvist currently lies fifth in the Euro Series points, but is less than a weekend's worth of points behind Prema driver Daniel Juncadella, who currently occupies second spot.
