All-Inkl Lamborghinis top Navarra World GT1 qualifying

The All-Inkl Lamborghinis set the pace in qualifying for the GT1 World Championship round at Navarra in Spain

Markus Winkelhock's 1m36.579s lap at the end of Q3 in the #38 Lamborghini he shares with Marc Basseng gave the pair pole by just 0.004 seconds over their team-mates Dominik Schwager and Nicky Pastorelli. The latter car will drop back to seventh on the grid due to an engine change penalty.

Mike Hezemans and Nico Verdonck's Exim Corvette was half a second behind the Lamborghinis in third ahead of championship leaders Lucas Luhr and Michael Krumm (JRM) in the top Nissan.

Jamie Campbell-Walter and David Brabham were fifth for Sumo Power Nissan but have a five-place demotion pending for an incident at Silverstone. The Hexis Aston Martins took sixth and eighth, sandwiching the leading Ford, which Bertrand Baguette took to seventh on his series debut with Marc VDS.

The other two Nissans rounded out the top 10, with Nicky Catsburg now in the #20 Sumo Power car alongside Enrique Bernoldi.

The #8 Young Driver Aston Martin, which is carrying a 10-place grid penalty for Stefan Mucke's incident with Richard Westbrook at Silverstone, did not complete a flying lap in Q1 and will start last. Their team-mates Tomas Enge and Alex Muller only managed 12th.
