Abu Dhabi dropped from GP2 schedule

GP2 Series organisers have revealed the calendar and the final entry list for the 2011 season

The championship will consist of just nine round after the season-ending Yas Marina race was dropped from next year's schedule, meaning the series will take place entirely in Europe.

The 2011 season will kick off in Turkey for the first time on May 7 and will finish at Monza on September 11, all races following Formula 1.

Two official tests are scheduled for April 5-6 at Silverstone and April 19-20 at Barcelona.

The entry list has also confirmed that the ART squad will now be known as Lotus ART following its partnership with Lotus Group.
