Ricciardo keen to make most of test

Daniel Ricciardo is eager to get back behind the wheel of a Red Bull Formula 1 car in next week's young driver test at Abu Dhabi

The 21-year-old Australian has been the team's reserve driver throughout this season, and also finished runner-up in the Formula Renault 3.5 series.

Ricciardo has tested for the team previously, on all three days of last year's young driver days at Jerez. His place at the test was confirmed by the team last month, and he will be in the car for both days at Yas Marina on Tuesday and Wednesday.

"I can't wait to get another crack at driving Red Bull's amazing Formula 1 car," he said.

"I've been hanging out with the team and drivers all year at the races and it's made my urge to drive the car again even stronger - if that was possible!

"It's a year since I last drove the car [at last year's young driver test] and I really want to make the most of the two days."
