Wurz rejoins stewards' panel for Japan
Alexander Wurz will again be the driver representative on the FIA's steward panel at this weekend's Japanese Grand Prix
The ex-Williams and Benneton driver will mirror the role he took on at the Chinese GP in April, where he was involved in resolving the controversy between Lewis Hamilton and Sebastian Vettel, when both men were reprimanded for racing aggressively for position in the pitlane.
Wurz contested 69 grands prix between 1997 and 2007 - his racing career pausing for a six-season stint as a test driver, first with McLaren, then with Williams, where he would return to a race seat for one last season as Nico Rosberg's team-mate in '07.
He continued in test driver positions after his final grands prix, and has also become part of Peugeot's works sportscar programme - teaming up with Marc Gene and David Brabham in 2009 to take overall victory in the Le Mans 24 Hours.
Wurz recently took on a major role with the FIA's new young driver academy project as well.
