Sutil targets Spa performance repeat

Adrian Sutil sees no reason why his Force India team cannot emulate the kind of performance it put on at the Belgian GP this weekend at Monza

"We had a great weekend at Spa, I was very happy after that, so another one similar to that would be very good," Sutil, who finished in a strong fifth at Spa, told reporters at Monza.

"I think we have similar chances to Spa, so another top ten qualifying. Our car has the straightline speed to probably a better weekend than in Spa. I think overall if I can be in the top five in the end I will be very happy, so that's the main goal."

The German admitted he is not ruling out a surprising result, and claimed beating Red Bull would be a possibility.

"Probably. The Red Bulls had big problems here last year and I know their car is a high-downforce car, and it's what you don't want here," he said.

"It's a special circuit and we can have special surprises here. Our car will be good. Let's see who else is fast here. For sure Ferrari and McLaren will be very strong."

Sutil, who moved into ninth place in the championship thanks to his result at Spa, said he was pleasantly surprised to be ahead of compatriot Michael Schumacher in the standings.

"I didn't expect that, but I'm very happy. I gained one position and I'm P9 so that's quite nice. But there's six races to go and anything can happen."

The Force India driver also revealed he is hoping to confirm his future in the upcoming weeks, although he said he was not 100 percent sure about his preferred choice.

"Nothing's changed, really. But I don't want to wait too long. I hope I can tell you where I'm going to be in the next few weeks."
