Buller tops Brands GP test
Will Buller set the fastest time as British Formula 3 returned to action after a six-week summer break with a full day's testing on the Brands Hatch Grand Prix track on Tuesday
The Hitech Racing man went quickest in the drier afternoon session with a 1m18.108s best - a full second adrift of reigning champion Daniel Ricciardo's pole time from last season.
Buller headed a trio of Carlin men - Adriano Buzaid, championship leader Jean-Eric Vergne and James Calado - with Brazilian Buzaid the closest to him, just 0.037s adrift.
Buller's Hitech team-mate Gabriel Dias was fifth fastest, while Racing Steps Foundation driver Calado was the quickest runner in the wet morning session.
Fortec's Oli Webb was the quickest Mercedes runner with seventh fastest time, while Raikkonen Robertson's Daisuke Nakajima only completed two laps of dry running.
In the National class, points leader James Cole edged his T-Sport team-mate Menasheh Idafar by just a few hundredths in both sessions.
Brands Hatch will be the venue for the closing rounds of the British F3 season at the end of September. The series returns to racing action this weekend at Rockingham. The second of the three races will also feature pitstops.
