Dias scores first British F3 win
Gabriel Dias took his first British Formula 3 victory with a charging drive in race two at Hockenheim
The Hitech driver dropped from second to third off the line, as Oli Webb - the polesitter on the partially reversed grid - pulled away into a clear lead for Fortec ahead of Carlin's Adriano Buzaid.
But Dias was able to pass Buzaid for second into the hairpin on lap four, then chased down Webb's 2.1-second advantage before outbraking the former championship leader at the same spot with five laps remaining.
Although Webb and Buzaid remained with 2s of Dias, they could not stop the Brazilian notching up Hitech's first win of 2010.
Jay Bridger resisted pressure from points leader Jean-Eric Vergne (Carlin) to take his and Litespeed's best result yet in fourth. James Calado completed the top six in the next of the Carlin entries.
With the race two starting grid decided by the results of race one, James Cole began the race with a nine-place cushion back to his National Class rival and T-Sport team-mate Menasheh Idafar. He duly turned that advantage into a division win, despite Idafar catching up with him by the end.
