Stoner fastest in Le Mans warm-up

Casey Stoner set the quickest time of this morning's MotoGP warm-up at Le Mans, but was just half a tenth quicker than Jorge Lorenzo

Stoner missed out on pole to Valentino Rossi yesterday when he failed to improve his time on soft tyres, but Ducati looks to be strong in race trim with Nicky Hayden third this morning.

Randy de Puniet continued his strong form on home soil, setting the fourth quickest time, just ahead of Rossi.

Ben Spies showed good pace with the sixth quickest time following his practice crash on Saturday morning. Fellow injured rider Mika Kallio struggled after his accident and was two seconds off the back.

The works Hondas were only seventh and eighth quickest this morning, despite Dani Pedrosa qualifying third, just a tenth off pole.
